Unregrettable Pirate Life

Good Peeps,

Wow, a bank holiday weekend, thank goodness, I need some rest. All the housework is done, so my weekend will start when I get in from work tonight.

Right onto today's card which I have made using "Unregrettable Pirate Life" from Ching-Chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection, Sheet #10, plate #36, which is available right HERE from Crafts and Me. I'm loving these stamps. I have coloured her using copics and added a bit of sparkle, he, he, just can't stop myself. I have used the Marianne Design flower and raised the 2nd layer and added some flat back pearls and a prima centre, gorgeous. The doily has been sprayed with some cosmic shimmer. The whole card has the distressed look which for a change I did actually use my making memories distress tool instead of a scissors or cutting blade and after reacquainting myself with it I think I will be using it more often, lol. The spotted organza is actually a wedding favour but I put it to better use. The little BELIEVE ticket is availabe from Alissa Designs.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:-

Crafty Creations - Make your own background
Quixotic Paperie - Distressing
Charisma Cardz - Girly card with flowers
Lili of the Valley - Here comes Summer
A spoonful of sugar - 3D something

GOAL!

A Very Happy Monday Morning Peeps,

I hope you all had a great weekend. Unfortunately it rained yesterday, so I had to craft, lol. I bet I wasn't the only one!

This fortnight Sophisticats are lucky to be sponorsed Jenni of Cardmad Fairy, and Jenni is offering the winner 5 digi images of their choice. Wow, isn't that absolutely fabulous. Jenni is also giving the "Debbie" image free with any purchase until the end of April.

The Design Team have been fortunate to choose a digi from Jenni and I for my sins, chose KEVIN. I don't like doing male cards but I thought he is a fab image for a boy or Man, so would be good to have a card on hand in readiness.

I have coloured him using copics. I cut the stars out by hand and layered them. I used a Martha Stewart punch "Trelis", and the "GOAL" is actually a die I had made a couple of years ago, woo hoo! Haven't used it in a while, so dusted the cobwebs off this is the result.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:-

Have a good day everyone and I hope you take the time to hop on over to Sophisticats to see what the other Design Team Members have come up with and also to enter this fortnights challenge.  See you back here on Wednesday.

In fact I have done that alot lately and quite like what I have created.

I have used copics to colour her and distress inks for the background. I have used the large Martha Stewart punch, and again you can check these out at Crafts and Me too. Congratulations - You Passed

Morning Peeps,

It's challenge time again at Karen's Doodle's UK and this week's theme is MONOCHROMATIC. Now, this theme has always scared me and I have, until now that is, managed to avoid it. But being on the Design Team I have had to attempt this challenge. I chose one of Karen's new doodles, isn't he adorable and great for graduation cards, passing exams etc.

I have coloured the Graduation Doggy in using copics and layered him onto a die cut from Marianne Designs.  I have also used the Marianne Designs flower  die cut, the middle one with the wholes cut out, these dies are just fabulous.  The large punched middle section is a Martha Stewart Trelis punch, another favourite of mine.

Charisma Cardz - Monochromatic
Digital Tuesday - April Flowers
Paper Sundaes - No people

I know you all know by now where to get these gorgeous stamps but if there are any newbies out there, you can get it right here from Crafts and Me. I had great fun making this card. I used my really old moonglow shadow ink, Malachite, and a jack o lantern glimmer mist. I sprayed these onto a doily which gave it a wonderful goldy green shimmer, it really is beautiful.

The papers I have used are prima and I have coloured the image using copics. I have used one of the Marianne Deisgns scalloped border and threaded green ribbon through. I have also used acetate and punched out a butterfly and used peewee glitters to colour it in pink and green, again not seen very well in the photograph. Thank You Magnolia Tri-Card

Evening Peeps,

I have been working on this project for a couple of days.  It's one of those that I have admired from afar, printed the tutorial a few months back with good intention but never actually got round to giving it a go.  So after seeing Crafty Cardmakers challenge this week of trying something you usually avoid or have never done before, I thought it time that I dug out my tutorial and face up to this challenge.  Although I am pleased with the result it has taken me the last two evenings.  I prepared the card base yesterday evening and thought it won't take me long to decorate tonight when I get in........... How wrong was I.  For some silly reason I decided to make my own flowers and after a further 3 hours later here is my very first Tri-card:-

I have coloured Tilda with Copics and matted onto nestabilities which I inked with distress inks, just love those.  The papers are Bo Bunny, got a thing about these papers and colours at the mo, just fab.  I have used the Marianne Design Die for the swirls and the flowers are made from Bo Bunny cardstock with a little lilac rose placed in the centre.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with nesties.  Leaves and ribbon from stash.

I am entering my first Tri-card into the following challenges:-

Just Magnolia, At least two folds
Crafty Cardmakers - Something you have avoided doing
One Stop Craft - Paper piecing
Charisma Cards - Thank You
