Yuki by Instyle Stamps

Happy Friday Peeps,

And if your living in the UK I know you are all looking forward to a long weekend, woo hooooooooooooooooo!

Today's card is a bit of a different one from me, but time has been scarce this week, so forgive me, lol. I have used one of the "In Style" stamps available from Crafts and Me. She's really cheeky and that's why I chose her.  There are many others on the Crafts and Me Site so go have a peek.....

I used my nesties to create the shaped scalloped circle card.  The Design Paper is websters, love these papers and they are so fab for distressing projects.  Speaking of distressing, this week's challenge over at the Crafts and Me Challenge blog has been chosen by little old me, and guess what it is........ yep distressing.  So if you've always wanted to give it a try hop on over, we'd love to see what you create.  Now distressing can be torn paper, inked, crumbled and sprayed/inked, however you interpret it.  So have a play and come and join in the fun.  There is a super duper prize, wish I could enter, lol.

I am entering this wee card into the following challenges:-

Charisma Cardz - Cirlces
Pixie Dust - Round and Round
Creative Craft - Ribbons/Bow

It's Petals, Wings and Pink at Cooking It Up With Katie

Good Morning Peeps,

Hope everyone had a fab weekend and those of us in the UK were lucky enough to enjoy loads of gorgeous sunshine...... finally, lol. Although, it was too hot for the netball tournament that I played in on Saturday by far. We made it to the semi's though, so not bad, but we were all flaked out.

Well it's Wednesday and time for another recipe with  "Cooking It Up With Katie" and this week its.... "Petals, Wings and Pink". Interpret as you wish. I went for butterflies as my wings, loads of petals and I think you could say it was pink.

I just love this fairytale range of stamps from Magnolia.

Ahoy There Me Mateys!

Morning Peeps,

What a glorious weekend we have had weatherwise and today it is my Birthday, so it's a Happy Birthday to me day. Sadly no magnolia birthday cards for me, so if there's anyone out there feeling sorry for me, they would be greatfully received, lol.

Well birthday or not, it's time for another Sophisticats Challenge. This week's theme was chosen by Diana and is "Splish Splash".  I was a little stumped with this one until I came  up with the idea of the sail boat and thought me little Edwin and Tilda pirate stamps can finally make an appearance.  So here they are:-

I have used the Tim Holtz Sizzix Die to create the waves.  I also purchased a little treasure chest and painted it with acrylic paint, then crackle glazed it and filled it with treasure.  The images were both coloured with copics.  Don't they look cute.

I have entered this into the following challenges:-

Magnolia Down Under - Shaped Card
Stamp Something - 2 of something (2 papers, 2 images)
Creative Cottage - One for the boys

Willow with Champagne

Morning Peeps,

Just a quick post as I am totally shattered. As well as working full time I have been trying to get 5 design team cards done as I usually do this over the weekend, at a push, but this weekend I have a netball tournament and I really must get a pile of stuff that I sorted out to go on Ebay actually listed rather than sat in the corner. So I have been working my little socks of, and unfortunately I'm not a quick crafter as I can't help but put detail on my projects.

Today's card is Willow with Champagne, available from Crafts and Me. Remember to read the note on the Whiff of Joy stamps on the site.

She is coloured with copics.  I have cut out a circle and used a martha stewart corner punch to create the lacy doilie effect.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is computer generated and all the flowers are a mixture of wild orchid crafts and stash.

I have entered this into the following challenges:-

Whiff of Joy, Brown, yellow + one other colour
Everybody Art - Sketch
Totally Gorjuss - Round and Round
All Sorts - Birthday
Trimmies Craft - Birthdays or Celebration
Creative Beli - Hole Punches
Stampavie - Flower Power
Papertake Weekly - Flowers

Fairytale Exploding Box

Evening Peeps,

I'm officially all crafted out. I have spent Sunday and two evenings creating today's exploding box and I really don't think my pictures do this project the justice it deserves. I was so inspired by the Magnoliscious Highlights DT creations and with my Sister's 40th on the horizon, I wanted to create something special. She loves all things disney so the Fairytale collection of Magnolia's is just perfect.

This is the box before it explodes

Here it is open, I have tried to take it so that you can see overhead all the swirls of acetate with butterflies and pearls on.

Here's Tilda looking a bit squashed in my photo, with her diamond tiara and pearl earrings.

You will see here that I have been very kind to my Sister as I don't think she is going to accept that's she's 40 so I have only mentioned it once on the little tag and not in large numbers.

Isn't she pretty.

A close up of her sparkling!

Materials Used:-
Bazill cardstock
Magnolia Papers
Accetate to make the swirls for the butterflies and pearls and also stamped another section with Happy Birthday in Stazon
Martha Stewart frond punch and border punch
Loads of star dust stickles
Computer generated tags
Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts
Everything else from stash

I have entered this into the following challenges:-

A Spoonful of Sugar - Cute and Girly
Tuesday Morning Sketches - Favourite colour combo and Glitter
Sir Stampalot - Blossoms and Butterflies

It's Wednesday and it's time once again for another Karen's Doodles UK Challenge and this week its...... "Make it Masculine". Here's my card, he's a cheery old sole and I guess most women can relate to this image, lol.......

Guest Design Team Card for Kaboodledoodles

Happy Monday Peeps,

Hope eveyone had a great weekend.  I have had a busy weekend, this and that and today I have managed a little crafting.  I have started working on a project for my niece who is getting married in Las Vegas on the 2nd June, and it's going to be aweseome, so watch this space!

Two weeks ago I was chosen as Top 3 at Kaboodledoodles and was invited to guest design for them.  The theme this fortnight is....... you guessed it, Monochromatic.  Now some of you may know this is usually a theme I avoid like the plague.  I have only done one monochromatic card, which again was a design team card for Karen's Doodles, so I have kind been forced into this theme twice.  Well my first card for Karen's Doodles got me awarded a Top 3 so it couldn't of been that bad, lol.  I really don't know what it is, I just don't feel confident about doing them.  Anyway, here's the card.....

The image is a Bugaboo digital image.  This was sent to me as Bugaboo stamps who are sponsoring the challenge over at Kaboodledoodles this week, and they have free digital images available on their site so hop on over and join in the fun.  If I can do it, so can you.

Shopping Willow

Morning Peeps,

I know I start off every week by saying how great it is that it's Friday, but believe me I really am so glad it's Friday this week. Not been a good week in my house. One of my Daughter's best mates is on life support with suspected meningitis and we have all been very upset and praying for a miracle. I also have the builders in knocking down a wall in my bathroom, replacing the ceiling and re-tiling and decorating. It will be nice when it's finished, but all in all were in a mess and I can't say I am in the mood for crafting. Nevertheless, I have forced myself to produce the following card:-

I have used Whiff Of Joy Shopping Willow availabe right HERE from Crafts and Me. Although it states Out of Stock on the site there is a note to say to contact Teresa as the WOJ stamps cannot be sold online but they ARE in stock. Just email Teresa. I stamped the bags out a few times on different papers and cut them out to give them a little dimension. Willow has been coloured with copics. The papers are a bit of a mix between Basic Grey and My Minds Eye. I have used a Martha Stewart border punch and the doilie, ribbon and flowers are all from my depleting stash.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:-

The Pixie Cottage - Fab Sketch
Crafty Angels - One for the Girls
Totally Gorjuss - Pink and Green
City Crafter - Pink
Stampavie - Pink

Anything But A Card - Crafts and Me

Last one today Peeps,

Wow, I have really enjoyed creating this 4 Drawer Easel for my design team project at Crafts and Me, but I so needed the bank holiday to help, lol.

The image I have used is "Love is Gone" by Sweetpea stamps availabe right HERE, from Teresa at Crafts and Me.  She is one of my favourite sweetpea stamps and I have coloured her with my copics.  I have a couple of family birthdays coming up and this little box will make an ideal gift....... if I can bring myself to part with it that is......

The papers are the Bo Bunny limited edition Glitter papers, totally gorgeous.

The flowers are a combination of prima, wild orchid and stash.  I have also used two different sizes of paper doilies, one sprayed with glimmer mist and one left white.  I have added a couple of butterflies cut out of paper and a stamped magnolia butterfly.  I have also used my airdry clay, again available from Crafts and Me as well as the mould.  So easy to use just pop it in the mould, leave and then pop out and colour as required.  I left this one white but covered it in star dust glitter for some additional sparkle.  The lace is from my stash.

I did the wings originally in fantasy film but got carried away with my sparkling glitter, lol.  I added lots of star dust stickles to the flowers so this project is sparkly all over, just how I like it.

I have entered this project into the following challenges:-

Sir Stamp alot - Butterflies and Blossoms
Lili of the Valley - Here comes Summer
Crafty Angels - One for the Girls
Everybody Art - Make A Gift

Fairy of the Night

Evening Peeps,

Gosh I almost forgot to post this card. I used the bank holiday to get all organised and in fact it has put me all out with what I am doing and what the days of the week are, I must be getting old, lol. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!

Well my card today is of Ching-Chou Kuik's Fairy of the Night, Sweet Pea Stamp, available right here from Crafts & Me. I have for a change tried to keep this card simple, not an easy task for me, but nevertheless, I love the outcome, quite dramatic. I have had that felt for ages and finally found the opportunity to use it and the black looks stunning with the orange.

Hope you like it, I have to nip off now to take my son to a football game he is reffing. There is no rest for me I can assure you. This is my third night in a row and I am struggling. Those pitches are really windy!

Anything But A Card - Karen's Doodles

Good morning Peeps,

Well, what a lovely thought, half way through the week already and I have a feeling it's going to go really fast. Hubby is on nights and so I seem to be chaperoning my son to his Reffing games last night, football training tomorrow and another reffing game on Thursday, so not much time for me at all, just a chauffeur!

Well today my luvies at Karen's Doodles the challenge is "Anything But A Card", and I urge you to pop over to the UK Challenge Blog as the Design Team have come up with some corkers to get your creative juices flowing.

Now my Anything but a card is a bag of cookies, no longer filled with cookies, I hasten to add. My son made short work of those, lol!

I chose Bigsby with Christmas Cookies from Karen's Doodles and coloured this image with copics, isn't he just so cute.  The cookie bag was cut with my Cricut using an SVG file.  I used my nesties to cut out the circle and layered this with acetate.  I then cut out a scalloped frame, again using my nesties and positioned over the acetate to frame it.  I then enjoyed decorating it.

April With Hearts

Happy Bank Holiday Everyone,

It's a shame it's been a wet one in the UK, but I guess we should all be used to it by now, lol.

I won her a couple of months ago on the Pixie Cottage Challenge Blog and have been eager to ink her up since her arrival, but design team cards have come first and I haven't had enough time until now.
