Congratulations Alison.  Please email me with your address by end of Wednesday so we can get these gorgeous stamps off to you.

Time To Get Ready

Morning Peeps,

Hope everyone had a fab weekend.  Back to work today, can't say I'm looking forward to it, but best get on it with it, I've got a lot of years before retirement.   The Simply Sassy Girls sure know how to hop, and if you haven't hopped yet, there's still time.  Start at the Simply Sassy Blog HERE.  Each DT member has two stamps to give away from the new release so you won't want to miss it.

Today's inspiration is using that darling Bedtime Snuggles, she is certainly a cutie.  I used her to make a birthday card and a matching little handbag for my son to give my daughter for her birthday last Monday.  The little handbag was for his pressie to go in.  I have made one of the twisted easel cards.  If you haven't tried it you should give it a go, dead easy with fabulous results.

The papers are from Bearly Mine Spring Mix, being released tomorrow.  Fab and Funky hey.  I do love spots and stripes, so this mix is fab.

The dressing table used to be mine. I drew it and had it made into a die a couple of years back. When we decorated our bedroom I got a new dressing table and so passed my old dressing table onto my daughter so it seemed fitting to go onto her card.  Mind you it's not in the same condition that I gave it to her, but the less said about that the better!

Snuggles is placed on the floor of the card using a hinge, so she pops down when the card is closed.

Here's the little handbag.

Isn't she just so darn cute.  I popped a couple of tiny beads as buttons on her stool.

I used mirri card for the mirror.

Don't forget you have until midday today to complete the hop and the winners will be announced on the individual DT blogs and the Maria will put the full winning list on this blog this evening.

Now that's the formalites out of the way, here's the exploding box I made for my Daughter's birthday on Monday, thought this little Sassy image was ideal.  I've come to the conclusion though that exploding boxes should be a summer project, trying to photograph this has been nightmare, it's too dark and orangey inside and outside it's either raining or trying to blow away in the wind, plus they are not the easiest to photograph and really don't do the project justice but here we go:-

This is the box closed, the colours are chocolate brown and teal, the colour of my Daughter's bedroom, well when you can see it amongst the piles of clothes and mess, lol.

A view looking down on it so you can see all the panels.

Here she is open, isn't she just a darling!

This is how the box is currently sitting in our lounge, standing proud and make up in hand, just like my daughter.

A close up of two of the panels so you can see the lace, swirls, beads, ribbon and little pockets.  One contains a tag which I have written on, the other contains the sentiment.

And finally the little beauty on her own.  She's ready for the town!

Ingredients:-

Tilda Picking Peaches

Morning Peeps,

Can't believe it's Saturday already and my week off has passed me by, can't say I've achieved alot, so many plans as usual that never came into fruition.  Never mind, I've enjoyed not having to do the daily ritual of going to work......

Today's challenge at Make It Colourful is "light source from the top left".  I have used those yummy Peaches of Plenty and Garden Picket Fence from Make it Crafty HERE, these  images can be used to create so many  fabulous scenes combined with all your stamps, I chose an oldie, Tilda picking peaches, thought she could do with some air, lol.  The papers are from the "Spring Flight" Digital papers from Bearly Mine Designs, due to be launched on Tuesday 1st March.

I did my usual technique of inserting the digital fence and peaches of plenty into WORD and working out the positioning of Tilda and then stamping Tilda out onto my card, masked her off before putting the card through the printer.  Thought the positioning worked out a treat.  Zoe has a fab tutorial on her site HERE for Photoshop Elements users and HERE for WORD users.

Here's a close up although disappointed with how light my sky looks in this picture, it's better in reality, honest.  The flowers are a combination from wild orchid crafts and the 99p shop, lol, yes the 99p shop.

Ingredients:-

Peaches of Plenty and Garden Picket Fence from Make It Crafty HERE
Tilda Picking Peaches by Magnolia
Paper from Bearly Mine Designs HERE
Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Punch
Martha Stewart Frond Leaf Punch
Magnolia Doohickey Swirl Die
Brad, Metal flower from Hobby House

Make Your Own Embellishments Using Air Dry Clay

Morning Peeps,

Now don't feint, I've written my first tutorial. Yayyyy, I hope I hear you say, lol.  I've used the delight air dry paper clay available from Crafts and Me.  I know I have raved at how easy this is to use so I thought I would show you.  My clay is half used so your bag wont look like it's been through the mill like mine does.

OK, let's get started.  I have a little key mould, also available from Crafts and Me a long with many others.  I am also going to show you how easy it is to use a stamp in the clay to create your own embellishments.

Just pop some of the white clay into the mould as shown and leave on the windowsill overnight. See, told you it was easy.

At the same time I just patted out a round circle and then stamped my sentiment into the middle.

Picture isn't briliant, but I think you get the idea. I then cut it into a shape that I wanted to end up with.  This can be circular, square whatever you fancy.

Voila, in the morning they are ready and then you can either leave them white or add some colour.

I have added some lilac acrylic paint to one of the keys, and left the other one exactly as it came out of the mould.  On the Have Bags of fun embellishment, I have sprayed this with glimmer mist so although you can't see if in the picture, it's irredescent and sparkly.  You may want to add some metallic rub on's, especially in the letters to make them stand out more or add another colour.  I have added some gold metallic rub on's to the "Shop to you drop" to give you an idea. Try different colouring products to see the different effects, you get loads in the bag and I know Teresa has some liquid amber in store where you just pour that into the mould and voila.

Pop on over to Crafts and Me to view all the moulds HERE and the delight clay at only £4.25 for a pack HERE

Have fun.

Delicious Sneek Peak

Afternoon Peeps,

Hope you've all had a good weekend. I have a  sneek peak for you of one of the New Release 5 Simply Sassy Stamps.  I know I'm a little later than usual but I have a good excuse. I made my project in readiness but after seeing Erica's posting yesterday realised we had used the same image and I know you guys are eager to see the sneek peeks so as not to disappoint I started a new project yesterday afternoon, but being the eve of my daughter's birthday my day was interrupted several times by family popping in so I didn't finish it in time and have been working this morning after the opening of the birthday cards/pressies to get it finished. Then I've gone to take the photo's and my battery is flat! It never rains but pours.  So without further ado let me finally introduce you to DELICIOUS which will be available from Funky Kits soon.

I have again used my Go Kreate Dies to creat the base of the card

Here's a close up of the Apron.  I have used my sewing machine to stitch the pocket on, cut the utensils out using mirri card and my quickutz.  The little cupcake is a Papermania stamp and decorated with perfect pearls for the icing and some flower soft and diamond dust for a bit of sparkle.

Here's delicious. I have used Glossy Accents on her shoes, buttons and heart as well as the word SWEET so it is shiny and like epoxy buttons but doesn't photograph well.  I may try again when my camera regains full battery as I was trying to be quick before it went on me again.

Ickle cupcakes, again decorated with perfect pearls, diamond dust and stardust stickles.

Here's the copic's I used.

Materials Used:-
Coloured with copics and prisma pencils
Papers from Bearly Mine Designs  available HERE and Nitwits
Image from Funky Kits HERE

Some Bunny Loves You

Morning Peeps,

It's Monday, hope you all had a good weekend and it's time for my slot on the Simply Sassy Inspiration Blog, HERE.

I have used my new Go Kreate Frilly No 2 die set to create this shaped easel card, and my new Grand Calibur that I won on the Sugar Nellie competition just before Christmas thanks to you guys.  The image is Bad Hare Day, available right HERE from Funky Kits at Sugar Nellie.

I've used Stormy Sky  and Victorian Velvet Tim Holt Distress ink and used the die as a stencil on the top panel and the two on the bottom, which leaves a clear white edge on the middle layer as a contrast. I hav.e also used the nestie as a stencil on the oval.

I had a little stamp that I purchased from a show a couple of years back, think it was dimentional 4th or something like that and I stamped around the edge of the oval.

I've had the paper ages so really don't know what it was called as it was off cuts that I used to create this easel.

Isn't she gorgeous.

I have again used copics listed below:-

The one without a sticker is the colourless blender.

Materials Used:-

Image by Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Bad Hare Day available HERE
Go Kreate Die - must use A4 die cutter
Magnolia Doohickey Swirl Die
Nesties
Martha Stewart Butterfly punch
Postcard stamp
Leaf punch
