Hi Peeps,

Gosh I'm all behind.  I'm busy trying to prepare for a craft fair this weekend and usually I make my cards and they all too often end up in a box, so I have been frantically preparing them for sale.

I apologise for the quality of the photo, I went to take it on Sunday whilst still daylight but my camera had run out of battery, don't you just hate it when that happens. Hopefully you can still appreciate the corner bookmark and candle made using the adorable Bildmalarna - Mimosa Bird available from BunnyZoe, just so sweet.

I have also used the following products on my corner bookmark:-

Coloured with Copics

And last but not least the new gorgeous RESIN FLOWERS i n the centre of the bow, oh my I looked at these for ages, absolutely love them, check them out HERE

I had made a similar card on my blog a little while ago and a chap I work with wanted me to make a similar card again using the Lili of the valley image. I wasn't too sure about the paper choice at first but after I had coloured up the image and put it altogether I really liked the result. Hope you do too.

I have used my grey tones for shading, C5, C3, C1.
I have shaded the image using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Broken China.

Shabby and Vintage at Crafts and Me

Hiya Peeps,

I have a chap who likes to buy all his family special handmade Christmas Cards and always chooses images that aren't christmasy and I have to do my magic on them to make them look like a christmas card.  He wanted purples and black and an Art Deco image, so this is what I came up with.

The challenge if you haven't guess at Crafts and Me this week is "Shabby/Vintage" and the Bride/Flapper Art Deco image fitted beautiful.  Isn't she gorgeous. And if you haven't seen there is a new europe/international postage rate of £3.45, so you can shop until your heart is content.

I have of course coloured my image with copics and have added lots of texture in the form of snowtex and crackle paint on the chipboard snowflakes.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-
Bearly Mine - My favourite things (Copics, distressing, snowtex, flowers, lace)
Oldie but a goodie - stamp older than 6 months and snowflakes

You'd better watch out Humphrey's about

Hiya Peeps,

Hehehe, couldn't resist that title.  I'm probably showing my age now but when I was a kid it was all the rage collecting stickers from the milkman with the saying, "watch out Humphrey's about", lol.  Anyway now I've embarrased myself I'll tell you a little about my card.

The image isn't a christmas one, but I looked at it  and can see so much potential and  these two reminded me of me and hubby cuddling by the christmas tree on Christmas morning. Ahhhhhhh.  I also see this image for an Anniversary or Valentines Day, so I can see this having lots of potential, what do you think?

A Touch of Art Deco

Hiya Peeps,

Well it's almost the weekend and I already know there's not going to be enough hours in the day.  It's Hubby's birthday weekend so we are out with friends tomorrow evening and again on Monday and I'm going with my son to see Twilight tonight, so all in all not alot of crafting time but I will have to try and fit it in here and there as I have 6 commissioned cards to do and need to prepare for a small craft fair that I am doing with my sister on 3rd December.  I'm also meant to be fitting the gymn in too, grrrrr, gosh I'm worn out thinking about it, lol.

Right, now I've bored you with my weekend activities I'll introduce you to my card today.  I have used one of the Art Deco Stamps from Crafts and Me called "Glamour" available HERE.   I got some gorogeous Graphic 45 paper from the recent Show at Alexandra palace which compliments this image well I think.

Ingredients:-
Image "Glamour" from Crafts and Me
Papers by Graphic 45
Butterfly is Tim Holtz
Vintage Distress Ink for the edges
Star Dust Stickles

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Light Source From a Lantern

Hi Peeps,

Well I did have my card ready last week but because of the grim winter weather I couldn't get a decent photo so I waited until the weekend, but was so busy that I didn't get round to posting it.  This is my DT card for Make It Colourful with the theme of "light source from a lantern" .  I have used Magnolia images which I actually purchased last year and never got round to inking, think were all guilty of this,  and complimented the card with snowflake chipboard pieces and a swirly corner, both available from Make It Crafty. I embossed them with silver embossing powder and they really come out looking very metallic.

I used my favourite Poinsetta Die from Marianne Designs and cut it out using some flock paper and it embossed lovely, so it has a lovely soft texture.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

My Time to Craft - Two of something (two stamps)
Oldie but a goodie - Let it snow
Shopping our stash - Use a stamp you haven't inked before
Pile it on just- Traditional Christmas
Just Magnolia - Black, grey, red & white (I have used all these colours in my colouring)
Stamptacular - Punch it

Midwinter Tilda

Hi Peeps,

Hope you've had a great weekend, didn't it go quick, yet again! Well I guess mine was better than the last one but Ollie has suffered a different sort of attack this week....... the scissors.  I took him to the groomers as he had at least 2 inches of hair all around him, so he looked like a little ball of white fluff.  But when I picked him up he looked like a different dog as he had been scalped, literally, bless him.  I don't think the Groomer knew how to cut a Bichon.  He's body has been scalped and then she left his legs and feet long?  I know it will grow back.  Fortunately I got a number from the Discover Dogs show at Earl's Court so hopefully next time the we will get it right!

Today's card is my DT card for BunnyZoe and the challenge this month is an easy one...... Christmas with pearls.  I used Midwinter Tilda, isn't she adorable and oodles of stuff from the Bunny Zoe store, definitely yummy goodies in that store.

The tree's are the Magnolia Doohickey Spruce die, links in the ingredients below.  I used my copics to create some sprucing and added some glittery snowtex and I really like how they turned out.

The wooden ornment leaves, love these, again link below, have been covered with Gold detail embossing powder and heated.

I have coloured Tilda with copics, of course and added lots of glittered snow tex for texture for this wintery scene.

Ingredients:-
Wooden Ornament Leaves
Glittery Snow Tex
Tim Holtz Clock Die
Sentiment by Craftwork Cards

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:-
Dream Valley - Stitching
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Christmas
Crafty Calendar - Winter Wardrobe
Ellephantastic - Weather related

Fairy Wishes

Hi Peeps,

I have been MIA for a few days, I had Sunday all planned to get some crafting done and it all went wrong.  Housework was done and it just remained for me to take little Ollie out for his walk so he would be tired and hopefully sleep whilst I set to task in my craft room, but my worst fear happened.  We had only just arrived at the dog walk park when from about 30ft from us two dogs spotted Ollie and travelled the distance in next to no time.  I was unable to pick him up quick enough so the Rotweiler managed to sink his teeth into Ollie.  The squealing and crying from Ollie is still haunting me.  I tried to prise the jaws of the attacking dog apart but just couldn't move them.  I couldn't pull Ollie away as he had his ear between his jaw and had no intention of giving up. It seemed to go on an age with Ollie screaming before the owners, who were throttling the Rotweiler managed to get him to let go.  Ollie's ear was bleeding and he went into shock in my arms and I was shaking like a leaf.  As you all know I'm a new dog owner and was really enjoying my little pup and this came as quite a shock to me, and one I certainly don't want to repeat.  From speaking to other dog owners I think we actually came off lucky as this particular dog as attacked before but the last little dog didn't make it.  I think because I had a hold of Ollie that the Rotweiler couldn't take him off and shake him about.  Fortunately the second dog just watched the attack and didn't join in, thankfully.

Once I calmed down I noticed that the attacking dog had his lead put on and a muzzle.  I did question the owners as to why on earth this dog was off lead and they responded by saying, "he doesn't usually attack", although I have heard different.  The owner then said to me to put Ollie down, which I refused to do until she had put the second dog off lead onto a lead.  Can you believe she said to me, "oh he's alright, he wont hurt him".  It was only two minutes ago that apparently the other one didn't attack!

I cleaned up Ollie's ear and I put my hand on his head to keep him still and noticed more blood on the top of his head. This time it was a small hole, a puncture from the tooth of the Rotweiler.  Poor little Ollie. It has certainly made me wary and I am yet to take him back to the dog walk, which he used to enjoy.  I won't be trusting any dogs at all from now and after receiving some sound advice from my MIC teamies, I will be carrying a spare lead to swing around and an umbrella.

So after my little rant I'd like to show you my DT card for Crafts and Me which has the theme of "Birthdays", nice and easy.  I also placed this card onto the Copic Marker Europe blog and if you haven't visited for a while, hop on over, there's lots of inspiration and tutorials.  Right, lost my way again, I have used one of the new stamps from Crafts and Me.  They are all so beautiful I had difficulty choosing which one to colour up first.  This image is called  Black Rose.

I have coloured her wings and bodice using one of my favourtie combo's, R85, R83, R81 and the colourless blender with R81 to blend out

I also used the COPIC Opaque White with a fine tipped paint brush and added white strokes to the wings. The Copic Opaque is so useful for adding highlights as well as creating snow.

For the skirt I used my Greys C5, C3, C1. For the skin combo I used E000, E00, E01, E11, and for the hair I have used C7, C5, C3 leaving small areas white for highlights.

The vine has been coloured using YG67, YG63, G20

OMG No Stamps!

Hi Peeps,

Can you believe it, no stamps, yikes!!!! I had to do one of those dreaded MAN cards for my BIL's birthday and with the new Marianne Design release it really couldn't have been easier to be honest. Plus, I have to tell you that this was the quikest card I have made in two years....... might be something to do with the fact that my colouring takes me at least two hours, lol. Anyway, enough chat here it is.......

I used the *NEW Marianne D Creatables T-Ford LR0197. This pack comes with two dies showing the back of the car and the front of the car.  It reminds me of the TV show The Waltons.  It's availalbe  immediately from Bunny Zoe along with many others so check it out.

To create the text tabs I used the Marianne D Creatables Winter Wishes LR0187, so you see that this set is not only available for Christmas and can be used all year round.
