Celebrate in Style

Morning Crafters,

I can't believe we are at the start of another week, where do the weekend's go, although next weekend is a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, yippeeee.  As it's Monday, it's time for a new theme for the LLC Girls to follow and I'm kicking it off, and it is........ "April Showers brings May Flowers".  I'm sure your in for lots of different interpretations this week over at the blog, but for me the showers have been and the flowers are out to bloom in abundance.

I coloured this cute LOTV image with copics, aren't they adorable.  The frantage has been out again around the image and on the 6mm pearls which had a coating of both the shabby green and the aged wine.  The gorgeous papers are from the MajaDesign Spring Basics collection, all links at the end of the post.  I have again chosen the 12x12 so that I can create my shaped card and although you can create a shaped card using the 6x6, it does turn out rather on the small side.

Here's a close up of the flowers I used, KortandGodt Rolled Roses and Hortensia's, Chrysanthemums, lilac poppies, spray flowers in lilac and white, and one of the new lacy Chantelle prima flowers.  You will also notice the little berry pin and some feathers.  The leafs are cut with my new favourite die by Marianne Design swirl and leaf 3 die.

I have frantaged the wooden butterfly embellishment also, hehehe, this time using Aged Wine and Shabby White. I just can't stop myself and added one of the new prima light bulbs  with the sentiment "US". Thought it suited this cute little couple.

Here's a close up of the tag that pops out of the top right hand corner.  I have used vintage seam binding, lilac lace, heart lace, string beads and added another prima Chantelle  flower to the centre.  I have also added the heart charm, again the perfect accompaniment for this adorable couple card. Oh, I mustn't forget the little love hanger, which of course also had a coating of aged wine frantage.

As usual all links to all of the products used are below. Don't forget to pop back tomorrow for Tina's interpretation of the theme.

Guest at the Ribbon Girl

Morning Crafters,

Hope you are all having a good weekend.  Mine got off to a good start on Thursday when my Son passed his driving test.  So pleased for him and am also so so scared.  The roads are busy these days and I still worry about my Daughter who passed 3 years ago, lol.

Well I am honoured today to be guesting for the Magnolia Only challenge over at the Ribbon Girl, thank you Mary and Andrea for the opportunity.  The theme is "Dies", so an easy one for and for all of you.  I have lots of delicious goodies on my card to share with you and as you all know, I am the Embellishment Queen, so loved playing with them all.

So here's little Tilda coloured with distress inks and framed with a string of irridescent beads.  I have added lilac tulle under the spellbinders frame.

A gorgeous array of flowers, featuring kortandgodt rolled roses, Hip Roses and the ivory beaded branches, all linked at the bottom of the post .  You will also notice the vintage style sentiment from Whimsy Stamps secured with a memo pin.

I have used lace and seam binding and a gorgeous butterly diamante charm, gorgeous isn't it.

The papers are from Alma's Sewing Machine range by PionDesign available from LiveandLoveCrafts.

Ribbon Girl Ingredients:-

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, I'm hoping for some sun so we can go for a lovely walk in the woods and of course a cream tea.

Nautical Marci

Morning Crafters,

Look at this little lady....... her name is Nautical Marci and she is from the newest LaLaLand release.   I have coloured her with a combination of copics and pencils.  The gorgeous papers are from Prima Fairy Rhymes 6x6 paper pad.

Re-stocks of the fabulous LaLaLand Banner have also arrived in and I think you can cut it as it is with little hearts in the centre or you can also add flowers for a different look, like I have done.

Have you seen the new Kaisercraft wooden embellishments, they are fabulous.  I was going to emboss them but I quite liked how they looked bare don't you think?

Did you notice the little spikey white flowers, aren't they fabulous.  They are new just in at The Ribbon Girl.

The gorgeous two tone paper blooms can be found HERE. I have used a compass charm and positioned on the right hand side along with a seashell and a corked bottle.

Ivy and A Tale of a Rose

Morning Crafters,

It's challenge time for the rubber girls over at crafts and me and the theme has been set by Teresa as "Peaches and Cream".

I have used another new release image by Janna Prosvirino called "Ivy" and its a male image, something you don't see very often from me.

I also have a second card made using another of the new release stamps by Janna called "Tale of a Rose". Coloured with my beloved copic markers. I love the lilac and green together so enjoyed putting this together.

I have added some shabby green frantage to the 6mm white pearls and also around the frame. The image has been coloured in copics, my favourite markers.

The magnolia doohickey also had a coating of frantage.

The Tulle and white Lily Flowers are from TheRibbonGirl.  The beautiful lace that frames the card and the lace at the bottom of the card are both from Live and Love Crafts.

The Frame around the sentiment was made using the Airdry Clay. It's currently out of stock at Crafts and Me but is on its way back in. The gorgeous tassel is a new release from Marianne Designs available at BunnyZoe, just click on the thumbnail links at the end of the post.

Marianne Designs April Release

Morning Crafters,

I have made a vintage card using Some of the new Marianne Designs April Release Stamps/Dies and even a tassel and a charm. All stamps were from the clear stamp set Victorian Ladies, this includes the image, the word "FRANCE" to the right of the image, the beautiful butterflies on the image frame and on the sentiment frame and the little tag.

I have left the image uncoloured and framed it using a Marianne Design frame passe partout rectange CR1242. The papers are from the pretty paper bloc Victorian Vintage and the lovely tassel and fan charm are also from Marianne Designs latest release, all links are at the bottom of this post.

The text is from the Kaisercraft set of clear stamps Flora Delight.
