Anything But A Card - Crafts and Me

Last one today Peeps,

Wow, I have really enjoyed creating this 4 Drawer Easel for my design team project at Crafts and Me, but I so needed the bank holiday to help, lol.

The image I have used is "Love is Gone" by Sweetpea stamps availabe right HERE, from Teresa at Crafts and Me.  She is one of my favourite sweetpea stamps and I have coloured her with my copics.  I have a couple of family birthdays coming up and this little box will make an ideal gift....... if I can bring myself to part with it that is......

The papers are the Bo Bunny limited edition Glitter papers, totally gorgeous.

The flowers are a combination of prima, wild orchid and stash.  I have also used two different sizes of paper doilies, one sprayed with glimmer mist and one left white.  I have added a couple of butterflies cut out of paper and a stamped magnolia butterfly.  I have also used my airdry clay, again available from Crafts and Me as well as the mould.  So easy to use just pop it in the mould, leave and then pop out and colour as required.  I left this one white but covered it in star dust glitter for some additional sparkle.  The lace is from my stash.

I did the wings originally in fantasy film but got carried away with my sparkling glitter, lol.  I added lots of star dust stickles to the flowers so this project is sparkly all over, just how I like it.

I have entered this project into the following challenges:-

Sir Stamp alot - Butterflies and Blossoms
Lili of the Valley - Here comes Summer
Crafty Angels - One for the Girls
Everybody Art - Make A Gift
Papertake Weekly - Shiny and Sparkly

Sparkle with Love is Gone by Sweet Pea Stamps

I know, I'm back again and one more still to follow.

I can't believe another two weeks has passed and we are onto our third challenge already at Crafts and Me. This week is one of my favourite themes, SPARKLE. Woo Hoo, I do love a bit of sparkle and I know you do too.

I have chosen, ching-chou kuik's Love is Gone by Sweet Pea Stamps available from Crafts & Me . She is one of my favourites.

I have used that gorgeous key again, and positioned it just under that gorgeous purple flower.  This is made from air dry clay.  It is so easy to do, just pop some white soft airdry clay into the mould, leave overnight on the windowsil and that's it.  You can colour it however you like, it is really like and versatile.  On this ocassion I wanted a white key so I have just left it as it is.  How simple is that! Moulds and Clay are available from Crafts & Me.

Prima flower

Love is Gone By Sweet Pea

Happy Good Friday,

I have had a nice lay in this morning and looking forward to another 3. Woo Hoo! Advantage of older children now. Well I hope you have all hopped over to the New Crafts and Me Challenge Blog, the Design Team have done a fabulous job, so if you need some inspiration pop over, create something along the lines of fairies or wings and enter our first challenge. We look forward to popping by all your Blogs.

Now my card. Well I thought I would experiment with backgrounds and got out my old moonshadows, but the pump wasn't working too well and was splodging. So then I mixed some glimmer mist powders, but I had already coloured my image. So I masked her and used just a subtle blend as I didn't want to spoil my image. Lesson learned, do the background first! Next time I will be more adventureous. The stamp is "Love is Gone", beautiful image, available from Teresa at Crafts and Me. I have coloured her using copic's this time. Background paper is websters and cardstock is bazill has been embossed and distressed. Lots of star dust stickles have been added and the swirls are the new Marianne Designs Creatables. Lace, flowers, pearls are all from stash.

To finish off I spraying the whole card with Pearl Glimmer Mist, just love that oveall sheen effect, although not captured in the picture.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:-

Creative Belli - Colour spray
Flutterby Wednesday - Blue, Green, White
Simon Says Stamp - Distressing
Sir Stampalot - Fantasy

Enjoy your Easter Weekend.
