Christmas Belladonna

Happy Friday Peeps,

Well it's only a week to go until Christmas and I am nowhere near ready.  I'm planning to get the decs up this weekend and catch up with my best mate with a couple of drinks and boy do I need a night out.  I still have some shopping to do but am aiming to head out late tomorrow afternoon hoping that everyone would have gone in the morning.  Wish me luck.

I have made a few chrsitmas cards using the Fairies from Crafts and Me.  I've used traditional colours.  The fairies seemed to have been a popular choice for Christmas this year and I can see why, isn't she a beauty.

Ingredients:-

Image Belladonna available HERE from Crafts and Me

Papers by Magnolia available HERE

Flowers are Marianne Design available HERE

Lasecut chipboard flourishes from Make It Crafty HERE

Tim Holt on the Edge snowflake die

Sentiment is Lili of the Valley

Ho Ho Ho

Hi Peeps,

Don't know about you but I still have alot to do for Christmas.  I haven't personally written one card and this may surprise you as a cardmaker, but I absolutely hate writing Christmas cards, always have and probably always will, lol.  I haven't even had the time or energy to put up any dec's but hopefully this weekend I will spring into action.

Today is the last challenge of the year for Marianne's Divas and guess what it is.....  yep, real easy "Christmas".  I'm sure this one will be extremely popular and we have some fab prizes so hop on over HERE to check out all the deets.

My card was a commissioned card and they wanted a Santa so I coloured up this cute little LOTV Santa.

 Ingredients:-

Marianne D Creatables Finnish Ice Star LR0125,

Marianne Design Flowers
Lots of glitter snotex, love this stuff
Martha stewart branch punch (available from BunnyZoe)
Papers by Webster

I stamped  Santa onto Perfect Colouring Cardstock and used my beloved copics.

I put the whole card together using this fabulous tape from Xpress It.  It comes in 3mm, 6mm and 12mm widths and it comes in 25 and 50 metre reels which is just what I need as I hate it when the tape runs out in the middle of making a card and I'm sure you do too!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

4 Crafty Chicks - Christmas
Paperplay - Christmas
Pixie Dust - Stitching
ABC Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes
Freshly brewed - Christmas
Little Darlings - Christmas
My Mum's craft shop - cute and funky christmas

Don't forget my special Candy at the top of my blog!

Colouring a Snowman Tutorial

Hi Peeps,

I prepared a tutorial for the Copic Marker Europe blog on colouring snow.  I have used the Magnolia snowman as my image.  White is  very easy to colour.  You don't want to colour too much of the image to get the effect. You can use your cool grey tones but the warm greys also work well.  For today's snowman I have used C3, C1, BG10.

I stamped the snowman onto Copic Colour perfect colouring card. I have started by mainly colouring the shadowed areas and leaving the rest true white.  I have started with C3.

I then blend out the C3 using C1

I then added some BG10 as when colouring cold, frosty or snowy images if you add a blue tinge it gives off that feeling of coldness.

As I like smooth edges I have gone in with my colourless blender and blended to smooth the edges out.

You can also outline your image using the BG10 and this really makes your image pop.

And here's the card I made using the snowman.  I do like to create depth in my colouring, and this is the great thing about copics, you can always add more colour, so I went back in and darkened some of the shadows using my C5, and blending out with the C3.

This is my first shaker card and won't be my last, I really like how it turned out.

It's not the best photograph so I do apologise.  You have until the 2nd Monday in January to participate so hopefully we'll be seeing lots of new stamps.

White at Make It Colourful

Oh my goodness I've just realised I hadn't posted my DT card for Make It Colourful on my blog.  I was organised and loaded it into the Make It Crafty gallery but have forgotten my own blog.  The theme is to colour white and you have until Thursday evening to get your challenge card entered..... you still have time...

I have used elements from the Festive collection at Make It Crafty and combined with this gorgeous Tilda.

Isn't She Gorjuss!

Hi Everyone,

I don't know about you but I'm well into the swing of Christmas, well with crafting anyway, still got all my presents to buy.  I have a gift bag and candle to show you today.

I have used the NEW Gorjuss Stamp Alice and isn't she Gorgeous.  I chose the Magnolia paper SWIRL and there is upto 25% off Magnolia products at BunnyZoe at the moment so you may want to check it out.  I have also used the Magnolia Doohickey Dream Tag and Swirly Lace Dies.  I have used lots of my favourite Stardust Stickles  and flat back pearls on the snowflakes and added Marianne Design Ribbon Roses in the centre of the large snowflake which is actually a christmas decoration from Asda on the top right. I've used lots of snowtex for that wintery feel. The clock is the Tim Holtz die, one of my many favourites.
