Something Old and Something New

Good Morning,

Hope you are all enjoying a lovely Easter Weekend and it isn't raining where you are.  The theme this week for us Girlies at Live and Love Crafts set by  Sandy is Something Old and Something New.

Here's my card.  I have used the new Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art Stencil for the shape of this card as my NEW and for my choice of Old I have used the lace called Grace.  It's one of my favourites so I will never grow tired of using it, it is just soooooooo beautiful.

The papers are again from Pion Design's Vintage Wedding collection edged with gesso.

I have added lots of butterflies, I do like a butterfly, lol.  I have cut lots of butteflies from the Pion Design Border sheet, the butterflies from Pion have always been a favourite of mine since the Studio of  Memories release, just gorgeous.

I have added another favourite of mine, the Ranger Pen Nib to the centre of one of the butterflies.

I have added lots of flowers, gardenias, kort and godt curly roses, tulips, rolled roses, 30mm rose, cosmos daisies, berries and finished with vintage seam binding and some string silver pearls.

Hope you like it.

Opposites

I'm back and if you missed my post of 3 projects this morning, then please scroll down.

Today is my card for Live and Love Crafts and this week Sandy has given us the theme of "Opposites" to follow.  So I put my thinking cap on and came up with going with the opposite of purple on the colour chart, which is Green.  So here is my purple and green card using the fabulous Aurora Wings image coloured with Distress Inks.

I have used one of my favourite papers the Maya Design Vintage Summer Basics 1905 and combined with  Pion Design Vintage Garden 12x12 images, (I used the reverse side of the images).  I added the mini pompom along the top of the Vintage Garden paper (green).

I have used Euphoria lace along the bottom.

The flowers are made up of white flower spray, 30mm roses, 20mm roses, carnation, frosted berries and chrysanthemum's.

White as Snow

Hello again, this time I'm sharing my Live and Love Crafts DT card and this week the theme we are all following is "White as Snow", so you will see lots of white and a few snowflakes too.  This card really sparkles in real life and unfortunately I don't think my photography has done this card justice :(

The papers are from Pion Design's latest release Days of Winter, 6 x 6 Erik and Elsa and I couldn't bear to cover up the printed scene so I have used the snow effect and striped pieces for the front and saved the scenic piece for the inside :)

Here's the floral bouquet and I think you can see the diamond dust on all the snow flakes.  At the bottom I have used a Maya Road Vintage Finding Teardrop Pearl Centre and then used lots of white roses in 30mm and 15mm, frosted berries, pearl stamen, shabby blossom, foam flowers.

The image is cut from the 6x6 paper, isn't she gorgeous.  Love these images. This is layered onto a Noor Design die cut and then a Melissa Frances paper doily and finished at the bottom by a shabby seam binding bow.

I have used two beautiful laces, Elixir and Crotcheted Pearl Lace.

And here's the inside, oops there's some seam binding left hanging over the top, lol.  Don't you agree, too beautiful to cover up, right?

Have a good week.
