Spring in Paris

Hello Everyone,

I'm heading back from my trip to Norway today so I hope this has published.  Today's card is my LLC DT card and the theme that Sandy has set is "Springtime in Paris".  I have immediately grabbed my Pion Design Paris Flea Market papers for this project and the Pion Design Elegant Ladies image was just perfect for my card.

I have used Pion Design Vintage Wedding Bridal Bouquet, Postcards 12x12 and  By the Eiffel Tower.

Here's a close up of the image, I accidentally got a little gesso on her hair, oops.  I would of loved to been around in this era with those gorgeous dresses and hats and slim figures :)

I have used the new beaded stamen and ponegranates in the floral display and Noor Design diecut leaves.

I added a seam binding bow and a heart button to the bottom of the floral bouquet.

I added a tag and finished with seam binding, pearl string and an Eiffel Tower charm.

I have added a prima Resin heart

I have used the flower circle die as a doily and added matching paper to the centre.

The fluted border on the lefthand side.

Hope you like my card.

Home is Where The Ocean Is

Hello Everyone,

I've been dying to share my MDF Steering Wheel with you as I love how this turned out.

I coated the wheel in white Dutch Doobadoo gesso first and then added Dutch Doobadoo black gesso.I then gave it a light sanding so that some of the white came through.  I then added crackle paste and after it had tried applied a very light brushing of white gesso again.  This gave my ship's wheel an aged effect.  Love it :)

I wanted to keep this as much black, white and cream as possible as it's going into my downstairs toilet so it will match perfectly.

I used elements from the Dutch Doobadoo Paper Art Nautical.  I also used the anchor die cut and added pearls and a nautical button from Live and Love crafts.

I used both the All At Sea Sentiment Set and the Image stamps for the centre.  These were stamped onto paper from the All At Sea Paper pad.

The nautical buttom fitted perfectly into the Buoy diecut, some cheesecloth, pearls and shells to finish it off.

I've really enjoyed playing with the sea collection and I hope you like it too :)

All Creatures Great and Small

Hello Everyone,

Tracy here with my card on the theme this week of "Earth".  Did you know it was Earth Day on April 22nd?  Me neither, but Sandra is like an enclyclopedia, she seems to know everything, lol.  As you can see I have gone with a "Green" theme using the Pion Design Vintage Wedding collection.  Earth makes me think of all creatures great and small, and as this is another card for my Sister's 60th birthday this week I have chosen  Pion Design image of Kittens, my sister loves cats so this was very fitting for her.

I have used Pion Design Vintage Wedding 6 x 6 Rose and also the 12x12 Borders which contains not only the borders but also the butterflies and the alphabet.

I used the Dutch Doobadoo Shape Art Square for the shaped layers.

The floral display made up of tulips, cosmos daisies, baby buds, foam flowers, flower spray, carnation and 10mm roses and the new Apple Green Ponegranates.  I have added diecut leaves and a little gesso.

I used the border sheet and added the word "Daughter" using the alphabet  as well as cutting out the gorgeous butterflies. All edged with walnut stain distress ink and a blending tool.

I also cut out a little stamps and tucked it under the filagree vintage frame and added 60 to the centre and a heart.

I used the new 12 point die and for the lacy doily which comes with the outer matching panel.

You can also see the Noor Design Border Die, been after this one for a while :)

Here's a close up of the Pion Design image which is layered onto the Frame and 3 corners diecut.

Hope you like my card today.
