One for the Team

Hi Everyone,

Hope you've all had a fab weekend. It's certainly turned colder that's for sure.  I'm still playing catch up with blogging, so if I haven't visited you I'm sorry.

I have a male card to share with you today, rare for me as I love all the girly images and especially my embellishments.  Saying that I really like how this card turned out.

I have a chap who asks me every year to make a card for his Grandson and it's always on the same theme of football.  Now I only have so many football images if you know what I mean, so I scoured the internet and found this image in one of the online colouring pages.  I'm pleased to say he was delighted with this card.

I decorated the inside to match the outside.

I coloured the grass using YG67, YG63, G20 and then put some colourless blender onto a sponge and dabbed it around the grass, giving it a little texture and uneven look.

Other Copics Used:-
Skin E000, E00, E21, E11
White C1, C0 and 90% cool grey prisma pencil
Black C9, C7, C5, C3
Sky B0000, B000, B00, C3, C1, C00
Red R37, R35, R32, C3, C1

Fantasy Creatures

Morning Peeps,

My days are all put out this week and think it's cos I've had a long weekend away.  Had a great family weekend in Centre Parcs, lots of laughs and generally chilled quality time with family.  I have to tell you about my elder sister who has never bowled before, well until now anyway.  She knew she had to wear bowling shoes and we was pointed into the direction of all the cubeholes containing the bowling shoes.  We told her to look for her size and pop her boots into the cubehole.  My boots had a hole in them and letting in water, so whilst I was bent over tying my laces, I said to Eunice, "do you think there'd mind if I took these home", to which she glanced over at my bowling shoes and said, "well I don't think much of yours".  I looked at her feet only to notice her tying up a nice neat pair of black Van's, pmsl.  She had put someone elses shoe's on.  She just thought she could pick anything from the cubeholes, bless her.

Anyway, hopefully that made you smile so onto my card for you today.  It's challenge time at Crafts and Me and the lovely Karina has chosen the theme of "Fantasy Creatures".  I have used the beautiful Mermaid Winter Wishes by Hannah Lynn.

Ingredients:-

Vintage

Hi Everyone,

I have something a little different for you today.  You know how much I love the  Make It Crafty chipboard but seriously have you seen the new chipboard Frames??? Let me tell you they are wicked.  I have used a circular frame, fits together really quickly and then the fun bit begins.  This is what I created.

I coated the chipboard first in Gesso, it's a bit thicker than acrylic paint.  The chipboard bird, birdcage and flowers have all been painted in gesso and once dried I applied some Tim Holtz Picket Fence to give it that crackle vintage feel.  This was also applied to the edges of my image and the pearls, and wherever else I fancied.  Isn't that birdie cage just beautiful.

And here's a close up of some of the make it crafty flowers.

Do you remember the Heart Dies from Marianne Designs, bet you do, a few of me blamed me for your purchases.  Well naughty me I've used it again.  This time I have nested the small one on top of the larger one.  The little charm is also a new release from Marianne Design.

And to save you scrolling back to the top, here's the whole vintage frame.

Marianne Design Bird Charm
Flowers from WOC
Cheesecloth
Tim Holtz Picket Fence Crackle paint
Melissa Frances Shabby Chic Corner
White Gesso
Paper is by Pion

I would like to enter my project into the following challenges:-

Shaped Cards at Marianne's Divas

Hi Peeps,

Did you all have a great weekend. Mine vanished before my eyes as usual.  I did have a lay in yesterday until 9:30 which is really good for me, trouble is by the time you get up, shower, dry and straighten your hair half the day has gone. I certainly didn't get as much crafting done as I intended, spent most of saturday filling in forms trying to reclaim PPI, have any of you done this?

Today at Marianne's Diva's the theme is Shaped Cards.  Don't forget to use something by Marianne Design in order to enter, but I'm sure you all must have MD stash around.

I have used one of the Marianne Design vintage images, love them. I created the shape using Marianne Designs Anja's Squares, This set comes as 4 dies.

Of course my all time Marianne Design the Poinsetta had to make an appearance.  I have actually used the serrated ones this time and the minature version. I cut them on some Aida I purchased a while back to make another flower using a die.  I have added some Tim Holtz Picket Fence crackle pain to the edges.

Here's a close up of the Marianne Design Finish Star.  I cut it out on accetate and then added some diamond dust.

I've also added one of the new Marianne Design snowflake charms.

Ingredients:-
String pearls
Tulle

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes
Pile it on - Shaped Card
2 Sisters - Anything Goes
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas - Snowflakes

Anything Goes at Crafts and Me

Hi Peeps,

Busy week this week, parent's evening last night and tonight I'm chauffering to a football match..... hurry up and pass your driving test son, although have you seen the price of car insurance for young lads today, OMG, quotes in the region of £5,000.  Cheapest is about £3,000 for third party on the lowest insurance group possible.  Seriously, this is just encouraging youngsters not to bother getting any.  Ark at me, now I feel old sound like my mother, lol.

My card today is my DT card for Crafts and Me and the challenge this fortnight is "Anything Goes".  Real easy.  I have used Hampton Art's Kitty in Basket available HERE.

And can you see my little heart, it's one of the Marianne Design Dies and I must admit when I first saw the die it wasn't for me but I really, really like it now, and I'll be using again real soon....

Ingredients:-
