Boho Chic Handbag

Morning Peeps,

It's Monday again, and thankfully for us in the UK it's a bank holiday, yayyyyyyy.  It's my turn to design for the Simply Sassy Blog and I have used a tutorial I found on the Whiff of Joy site to create a handbag using my Go Kreate Dies, although I have used a different die to the one on the tutorial, the principal is the same.  I have used this classy little lady, Boho Chic available from Funky Kits.

I have coloured Boho Chic using copic markers.

I made the large flower using Tim Holtz die and Mulsin Cloth, inked with peeled paint and scrunched a bit.  Brad through the middle and Voila!

Ingredients:-
Image Boho Chic available from Funky Kits HERE
Sentiment is a Whimsey Tickert Stamp
Go Kreate Dies
Pion Papers
Peeled Paint Distress ink
Nesties for the handle
Muslin cloth, Brad, pearls, buton, twine from stash
Marianne Design Die for flourish
Martha Stewart Punch for the leaves
Small roses from wild orchid crafts
Sewing machine

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Dream Valley - Stamp Something
2 Sisters - Anything Goes
Little Claires - Shaped Cards
Sugar Creek - Shaped Cards
Totally Gorjuss - String/Twine
Pals paperarts - Brads
Crafting for all seasons - Anything Goes

I love all the greens in this & the way you balanced the image with the floral spray. The shape of those green leaves echoes her plaits nicely too & I like the sense of old & new with the Edwardian & shabby chic feel of the striped paper/colours with the boho modern feel of the image. I love the use of the pearls around the button too. AS to tutorials - I like being surprised by whatever is choses for preconceived ideas are addressed & horizons broadened that way.

And this is stunning. I mean STUNNING! Lovely papers, lovely colouring, beautiful embellishments especially the flower. WOW! I've been in Florida for the last 25 days where it's been pretty much 90 degrees but we are coming home tonight. I'm blogging from the airport where I just missed seeing Scotty, Lauren and Haley (are you an American Idol fan?) who left the lounge a mere 10 minutes before we got here. Gosh Dang it! Hugs, Lesley
