James the Bear and DT Call

Happy Sunday Everyone,

Hope your all enjoying the weekend. I have had a long lay in, deserved after cooking dinner for friends last night with a few accompanying G&T's. House is now back to normal and I thought I would pop this Christmas card on that I made yesterday using James the bear from Lili of the Valley. I do love these stamps and am looking forward to seeing the new releases at the NEC on Friday, woo hoo!

The papers I have used are from Bearly Mine Designs. I have the CD Volume I which has some Xmas papers on and I love the added bonus of the little ticket sentiments, which I have also used on this card. Now right now Bearly Mine are having a Design Team call open until November 2nd, so hop on over, there are some free papers for you to use.

I have coloured James using copic markers and used prisma pencils for the shading.  The little present I have paper pieced using the Bearly Mine paper and red bazill cardstock.

Molly Harrison Angel/Fairy Sneak Peek at Crafts and Me

Morning Peeps,

I should be all fresh for the weekend after I finish work today.  Housework is all done, just got to tidy my craft room, ummmmmmmmmm, not such an easy task, it currently looks like a bomb has dropped on it, lol, nothing new there then!

I am showcasing to you today one of the new Molly Harrison Christmas release stamps, which Teresa at Crafts and Me will be releasing on Monday and if you are a subscriber to the Crafts and Me newsletter you will receive 10% off during next week.  If your not currently a subscriber just hop on over to the blog and register, it's FREE!

I thought rather than do a card I would show you another use for this beautiful Angel stamp so here is my Christmas candle which I have made for a friend of mine in Turkey.  Being of the jewish religion they do not celebrate Christmas but she would love to have some decorations, but nothing too big like a christmas tree as it wouldn't be acceptable, so I thought this would be a perfect gift, plus it's her birthday on Christmas Eve.

I have coloured her using copics but it's difficult to blend on tissue paper so think I will give this a go next time using chalks.

I have made the tube using accetate.

I got carried away with the star dust glitter!

This is the lid.  I embossed the top using the snowflake cuttlebug folder and added the Marianne Design poinsetta with a beautiful lilac rose from wild orchid crafts to the middle.

We have a super challenge over at Crafts and Me Challenge blog this week, running for two weeks, which is to create a Chrismas Gift.  So if you want to give the candle  and gift tube a go here's a tutorial which would fit nicely into our challenge.  Hope to see you there!

One for the Boys

Evening Peeps,

Gosh what worse combination can there be..... no mojo and having to make a dreaded MAN card, eeeeeekkk!!!!

I spent one evening colouring the image and didn't like it so left the room, lol. I returned the following evening and tried to do the best I could with it as I need to get my act together and make a card for my brother-in-law's birthday. No glitter, yikes, that was hard but it was for a Man, plus I had dithered so long that I literally had to put it in the envelope and post, so no time for drying......

I have used the new Edwin out of the stamp club and stamped the present section onto blue patterned cardstock and paper pieced it onto the image.  I have also finally used my Marianne Design Creatables doily, not sure if it's manly but oh well, there are some things a girls just gott do.

Materials Used:-
Magnolia Image
Shabby Chic Paper by Tim Holtz and some Daisy D's freebie paper from Scrapbook Magazine
Marianne Design Creatables Doily Die
Nestie Die with a craftwork cards sentiment
Walnut stain distress ink
Buttons, thrread, tape measure ribbon from stash

New Hannah Lynn Christmas Stamp at Crafts and Me

Morning Peeps,

Thank goodness it's Friday! Thank you for all your comments yesterday on my Hanglar card and apparently "it's sick" means it's really good, it's teenage cook talk......  Now I have something exciting to show you today.  If you haven't been over to the Crafts and Me Blog this week, then you really should.  The DT are showcasing the new release stamps by Hannah Lynn being released next week with 10% off for one week only.  I really love these stamps and this is the first Christmas one.

I coloured the image as I usually do, matching the copic colours to the papers but when I had finished and looked at the image against white card and  I really didn't want to over power it with a selection of patterned papers.  So I have used some snowflake vellum paper and white cardstock and I really like the outcome, what do you think?

I have coloured her with copic markers stamped onto Cryogen card. Just love this irridescent cardstock.

Materials used:-

Snowflake vellum paper
White Bazzil Cardstock
White Satin cardstock for the poinsetta's and leaves
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

White gel pen

Old Time Tilda

Morning Peeps,

I had a lovely day off on Monday with my Husband, although this now seems an age away and in need of another.  I feel so naughtly having a day off with no particular reason but I haven't had a lot of time off work this year and he is currently doing a night shift working 6-6 so we currently like ships that pass in the night!  I have just got in from netball and am keen to get back to my book.  My kids have got me into the Twilight Books..... I'm currently 80 pages from the end of Book 2, New Moon, so a quick post and I'm off to bed.

Today's card is my very first attempt at colouring the whole image in sepia and I have to say for those of you who know me, I usually shy away from anything monochromatic, but I'm really beginning to like it.

I have coloured Tilda using copic markers, E44, E43, E42, E40 and E000.  The edges of the circle are distressed with walnut stain and of course I couldn't be without my stickles!
