Star Dust at Live and Love Crafts

Hi Everyone,

Can you believe its the 1st December?  I can as I've started my christmas shopping and not enjoying it at all. Today's card is my DT card for Live and Love Crafts with the challenge theme of "Star Dust".  So I am sure there will be lots of interpretation from my teamies.

I'm not entirely happy with this card.  Its a commissioned card for a boy and you know they aren't my best cards.

For my interpretation of star dust I have die cut some accetate snowflakes and added diamond dust and finished with a vintage brads. I have also added star dust to the bottoms of the ice skates on the right, arent these adorable.

Papers are from Maya Design Vintage Frost Basics called December 9th.

The falling snow was created using liquid applique, snow tex and again diamond dust to the bottom of the LOTV image.

I have added gesso to the cones, mini apples and blue and red frosted berries.

A close up of the ice skates and you can see the diamond dust added to the bottoms.

Christmas Tales

Morning Everyone,

I have another christmas card for you today and the image is called Two Tales by Whimsy Stamps and I have to say, aren't they cute!

I decided not to go with traditional colours and use blue, cream and white, which is one of my favourite colour combos.

I have used the whimsy snowflake border die all around the edge.  The gorgeous crotcheted doilie is just fabulous, love them.

I stamped the Kaisercraft text out onto accetate and then added little irridescent flat bead centres.

Shabby Christmas

Hi Everyone,

Monday again and were getting even closer to Christmas and I still have loads to get done and can you believe that I actually started in July.  Well I'm going to be even more prepared next year.  The new Maja Design  Frost Basics have hit LLC and I am armed with my 12x12's and also the 6x6 paper pad, a must, as I am going to be continuing with winter/christmas cards over the christmas and every month next year to ensure I am well ahead, so if you want to me more like me, make sure you stock up on the pads from LLC whilst stock lasts.

So onto the theme that the girls at LLC will be following and this week it's Shabby Christmas. I have used an Angel image by lili of the valley, coloured with copics and snow tex added, well it is shabby and you know how I love my snow tex.

The papers are from the newest release Maja Design Vintage Frost Basics 3rd December, 4th December and the postcard is cut from the diet cut sheet, love this.  Papers have been edged with white gesso and a touch of distress crackle paint in picket white.

The flower display consists of white poppies, 20mm, 15mm and 10mm roses, white flower spray and the gorgeous lilac berries.  I have added a wooden key to the wooden cage that the Prima resin fairy is sitting on.  The cage is tied with vintage seam binding in white and finished with a vintage brad.

The the post card is from the MayaDesign Frost Basics Die Cut Sheet and I added a prima clock paperclip and one of the mini wooden stars.  Can you also see the new prima resin corner from the ceiling ornamental and corner pack, so so love these.

I added the Merry Christmas text to a mini spool and added some of the wooden stars painted in crackle paint.  Along the bottom is my favourite pearl trim.

Another close up of the fairy sitting on the cage.

And an artsy view.
