Shop Till You Drop and a Yummy Sunday

Hi Everyone,

It's challenge time at Marianne's Divas and its "Spread Your Wings". My wings are on the papers and a little Make It Crafty Chipboard butterfly.  And have you seen the Marianne Design Stamps in store, ouuuu they are cute.  This is Marianne Design Snoesjes Shop Till You Drop  HM9441.  

I have also used Marianne Design new papers Sweet Summer. The tag is also from the new release Tags and Tickets which I layered on to the largest flower die from the Craftable Oval CR1204, along with the new leaves.  I really have a thing for leaves and I have used a combination of Anja's Leaves 2 LR0227 and my favourite Decorative Elegance LR0157. The image is layered onto Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and then onto another Marianne Design Craftable Ovals CR1204. The floral arrangement is made up of Kaisercraft and Marianne Design Roses which have flatback pearls added to each rose.

Do you ever need just a quick card.  Well actually there is no such thing with me, but I tried.  I wanted a quick card so I used the Square Nestabilites to create this little card.

Isn't he a cutie.  He is called Sunday by Marianne Design FR1111. I cut him out using Spellbinders Circles.  Paper is from the Marianne Design Sweet Summer pad.  The Leaves are another of the new releases Anja's Leaves 1 LR0226.

Sorry this post is short and to the point, I think my training is taking is toll on me, I am so very tired.  

Anything Goes at BunnyZoe

Hope everyone had a fab weekend, it flew past as usual and for a change the weather was nice, woo hoooo.  Another month has passed and its time for another challenge at BunnyZoe and this month its an easy one, Anything Goes.

I have used a Nellie Snellen image, Hockey Pokey, they are just soooooo cute.  This card is a bit bright but I was matching the lovely papers called Sweet Summer by Marianne Design, you can just see it peeping through there at the bottom.

Colouring Fur Tutorial

Well I've been on my bike twice this week and my arse is killing me....lol.  I cycled with Hubby for 7 miles when we stopped for a drink and I said I'm pedalling trying to keep up with you and I'm just spinning, this is the difference between our bike!.  So he took a look at my bike for a spin only to reveal I had been stuck in cog 1 and therefore pedalled 7 miles twice as hard as I had needed to.  We then went on and done another 8 and got home just before the rain started.  I then did a 20 miles in the gym which took me an hour and 20 minutes  but my bottom was still saddle sore from our outdoor pursuit and for the last half hour I was lifting one cheek and then the other to try and relieve the pain.  If you haven't donated yet and would still like to sponsor me, and remember every little helps.

So today I have a tutorial on colouring Fur which I produced for the Copic Marker Europe Blog.  There are a few ways to do this so I am going to show mine, but there are a couple of different versions on the CME Blog so check those out too.

I have chosen this adorable little image by Lili of the Valley called Bunny Cupcakes given to me by my love friend Elaine, thank you sweetie, I adore these little bunnies, well actually I adore most of the lili of the valley stamps, haha.

 I have started with C5, this is just my preference to get some ink laid down to blend easier.

I then start with C7 and go over the C5

Then I blend out the C7 with C5

 Then I blend the C5 out with C3

Then I blend the C3 out with C1

I want a gradual blend so I then blend out the C1, with C0 and then again with C00

I then take my darkest marker again, C7, and ground around the image adding short strokes with the tip of the brush, this is creating the fur texture

I repeat this process using C3 

and C1

 And this is the result

Tilda with Star Dress and Flag or is it?

Hi Everyone,

I'm back again and this time with a  Magnolia Tilda. This image is called Tilda with Star Dress and she's actually holding a flag.  I wanted to show you that you could adapt her like I have by adding a flower/s and right now she's on offer at BunnyZoe with 40% off, yep, 40%, so if you don't have a use for her with a flag, do you have a use for her with a flower, especially with 40% off? What do you think? Would you have known if I hadn't of told you?

 I added some stems coming out from underneath her hand and placed a flower on top

The White Stuff Tutorial

Hi Peeps,

I was asked to write a tutorial on how I do the "White stuff" on my cards for the Make It Crafty Inspirational Blog,so here goes.


This is my collection of white stuff, hehehe.  They look a little used, I wonder why?????

I started off my collection with the acrylic white paint which is a good base and give a real smooth finish if your painting those fabulous make it crafty chipboard pieces.

If you want something a little thicker and something you can create a little more texture with then you want to go for the Gesso.

You can see from this picture I hope that one stroke of acrylic paint doesn't cover up all of the cardstock but one stroke of the gesso does.

Another favourite of mine is the snowtex.  I have two types, one plain and one glitter.  The one with glitter is the one I tend to lend my hand too over the festive season.

The Distress Crackle paint is another favourite of mine, goodness I have so many.  When dry this crackles and I tend to use this on fences or sometimes around the edges, it really depends on the look I want.  I have used this in green further into the tutorial.

Lastly I have Paper perfect, which when painted gives the finish of handmade paper. I love this but I can't seem to source it in white.  I have it in lilac so I added ton's of white paint to it to achieve the look.

I never know what I am going to use until my card is laid out so I thought I'd share my thoughts with you on all these products.

O.K. so let's get started.  I have sewn my paper to the cardstock.  If I wasn't going to have sewn edges I would probably add the paint to the edges of each piece before layering and sticking down.

For today's card I have used the Gesso and an acrylic brush. I don't like an even amount all the way round and like to use a dry brush to add odd strokes here and there.

I add Gesso to all my pieces, even those that are already white.

Before I make my Make It Crafty Chipboard Leaves white I wanted to distress them, so like I explained above I have used the Distress Crackle paint in Green.  Can you see the crackles, the thicker you apply the more cracks you will have.

I then start to put my card together, but I'm not finished as I'd like to add some white texture, so out comes the Snowtex.

I'm not sure how your meant to apply it, but it works for me to use my finger.  I dab it where I want it.  It dries hard.

Well whose glad it's Friday...... well me for one although I'll be happier once I get off my bike tonight, lol.  I did manage to do 20 miles in the gym on Monday and I'm hoping to achieve the same tonight.   It took me an hour and 20 minutes but boy my bottom was very uncomfortable!  Thank you to all those who have already sponsored me and for those that might have missed my post click HERE.  I really would be an extremely happy lady if all my followers were able to donate £1 and I know the Heart Foundation would be too.
