Pion Design Days of Winter

Morning Everyone,

It's August but the new Pion Papers at Live and Love Crafts have arrived in plenty of time for you to get your Christmas Cards done.  I have chosen some sepia colours so decided to colour my little Lili of the Valley "A Little Prayer" image in sepia colours too.

The papers I have used are Pion Design Days of Winter 6 x 6 Winter Birds. I have also used the 12x12 ornament to cut the Poinsetta and added some pearl stamen and frosted berries to the centres.

I have used a little shabby white frantage around the image to emulate snow falling.  The lace Valentine is just beautiful and you can clearly see the scallopped edges.

The new vintage wood buttons were just perfect and looked like they were made to go with these papers.  You can see them on the centres of the snowflakes on the edge.

I have added two tags, tied with seam binding and a Christmas Tree Charm and Snowflake Charm.

I have also added some button lace to the right hand side and some snow tex dotted around the card.

I added a paper pocket to place the tags in and used the tag sheet to cut the ticket with the Christmas sentiment.

Summer Memories

Morning Everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend.  I have had a busy weekend out both Friday and Saturday night so yesterday was playing catch up.

This week we have a theme of Summer Memories.  For me when I was little the summer was a time when Dad took time off of work and we travelled to Devon for our family holiday.  The car packed up with the tent and we are jammed in sitting on pillows and pots and pans surrounding us.  Mum used to pack a huge lunch box full of sandwiches for our pit stop on the way.

We used to  look for winkles and catch the little crabs in the pools between the rocks and just generally be kids. So I have chosen a Pion Design image of this boy in the Port fishing as my image for Summer Memories.

The papers are from the Pion Design Shoreline collection along with the image.

The seagulls across the top and the single one positioned on the flowers are cut from Marianne Design Dies CR1279 and CR1277

Flowers are made up of tulips, carnations, foam flower buds and stems, 30mm wild rose and a little butterfly added, again from the same collection of papers.

I added a few seashore treasures namely shells and a corked vial which could do with a little message in it.

You can also see the Princess Grace lace close up and all the beautiful pearls, this is definitely my all time favourtie leace.

Have a good week.

Figgy Pudding & Lots More....

Morning Everyone,

I have another card to share with you..... I know what's happened this week, lol.  It's a Christmas Card using one of the new oh so cute Bebunni Stamps from BunnyZoe.  The papers are also by Bebunni and I was trying no to cover up the little bunny on the bottom left, as these match the images in the collection.

I have also used more Marianne Design Dies, the Star Bauble tucked inbetween two sheets of papers on the left and and the bauble on the bottom right, plus the little jingle bells in the top right hand corner.

The image is called Figgy Pudding and right now BunnyZoe have 15% off this collection.

Here's a close up of the Marianne Design star bauble.  I stamp christmas text of the nested star and added some snow tex.

This card should have published when I was away, but it's never too late, hey.  It is a new home card I made for my sister.  The Marianne Designs dies came in real handy.

And yet another card, that again should of published when I was away.  This little lady is just so adorable and is just back in stock at BunnyZoe.  Of course she is a Magnolia image called Sneaky Tilda, really love this little lady.

The papers are also by Magnolia as are the little Narcissus flowers, with a little gesso so the yellow centres are muted and more suited to the style of card.

She is coloured with distress inks and layered onto lace and a Marianne Design Frame.
