Oh Christmas Tree

Hi Everyone,

Hope your all enjoying your weekend.  I've managed to create a card just for fun and oh what fun I had, hehehe.  This gorgeous Lili of the Valley image has been in my stash far too long without being inked, so I really enjoyed colouring it up with distress ink markers.

The fabulous papers are Lost and Found by My Minds Eye, love them, something else that has been in my stash for a while.

I would like to say a special thank you to Gail who has been watching my lace fettish and has sent me a wonderful package full of laces, crotcheted doiles, oh soooo gorgeous, in fact I already have favourites already and couldn't wait to use some of the lace, so yep, it's on this card.  Thank you Gail, you are a darling and I am so very grateful.

Here's a little close up of the berries and turquoise poppy and just below one of the prima typo bulbs, so cute, literally.

I'll be back tomorrow as its the 1st of the month and time for a LLC Challenge.

Sweet Daisies

Morning Everyone,

Can't believe it's Monday already and thank goodness it's a bank holiday here in the UK.  I'm worn out painting, and no, not the usual craft kind that I like, but the hall, stairs and landing, and with all the cleaning of paintwork and tidying up afterwards I am shattered.  Second coat and then it will be all done awaiting the arrival of the new carpet.  I then have 5 doors to get painted in the week as we start the preparation in the kitchen.  A woman's work certainly is never done!

Well it's my DT card for Live and Love Crafts today and I couldn't help also make it my DT card for LittleDarlings and use this oh so sweet image called "Sweet Daisies"  I'm loving all the images Angie sent me and I can't wait to ink them up.  Well actually, I only have one left to ink, hehehe, so watch this space.

Sweet Daisies was such a joy to colour.  I used the Tim Holtz Distress Markers, just love using these for vintage style work.  I have added some shabby white frantage around the edges and also distressed with the walnut stain distress ink pad. Oh, I nearly forgot to tell you what the theme is that Sandy has set for us this week, oops, I certainly would have been sent to the naughty corner for sure, lol.  Well, it's "Keys".  Sandy has some fabulous keys in so many different styles, so if you haven't peeked you really should.

Before you look at my card,  I have used a soooooo new hot off the press gorgeous beyond words lace, that it isn't listed in the store yet.  I know Sandy is doing her best to try and get it listed today, so don't forget to check the store later as you won't want to miss it.  It's available in the ivory, which I have used and also in white.

The gorgeous papers are MayaDesigns latest release, Sofiero, they are all so pretty.

So here's the key I have chosen to use and there is a little sunken circle to place a bead or diamante in but I chose to add a little ickle wild orchid craft rose, aren't those two tone roses beautiful. You'll also notice to the left a Melissa Francess keyhole, sooooo cute and went perfectly with the filagree key.

In the top left you will notice a Melissa Frances Butterfly and I have put a prima "SWEET" sentiment typo lightbulb, sooooooo cute, and just to the right here are some gorgeous flowers, and only a few of what Sandy now has to offer. You will see all the links in the thumbnails at the bottom of the post as usual.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Shop Til You Drop

Morning,

It's Friday and it's a long weekend here in the UK, yayyyyyyyy.  I'm hoping it doesn't rain but if it does there's painting to be done and crafting, hehehe, well you have to don't you.

Today I'm excited to share with you two CHA stamps coming to Little Darlings Rubber Stamps in a couple of weeks.  I have coloured in pastel tones for a change and created the Paris background to match the new little Candibean Shop Til You Drop image, isn't she a darling.   The postcard is from my stash but fitted perfectly with the little Eiffel Tower postage stamp in the corner.  The paper is also a new release to Little Darlings and is from the Petals and Lace 6 x 6 pack, gorgeous pinks, lilacs and greys.  I'll let you know when they hit the store so you don't miss out...

The brickwork was created using mainly the E group of Copics.  I have added a tag and attached some Melissa Frances pink tulle secured with a pearl brad.  The butterfly is my new favourite by Joycraft, but I guess you know that by now.

The postage stamp on the right hand set is from the Marianne Designs Mail Around the World stamp set, very useful.

Copics Used:-
Skin E00, E21, E11, E000, R20
Hair E43, E25, E31, E50
Pinks R83, R81, RV10, RV000

Greens YG67, YG63, YG03, G99, G20
Greys C7, C5, C3, C1, C00

Princess Mask

Good Morning,

On Day 3 of the new release at Crafty Sentiments and I'm thrilled to present "Princess Mask".  I have chosen to use the MayaDesgin Sofiero collection again and coloured the Princess in pinks using Copics, Princess's look gorgeous in pink, right?

The beaded lace braid is from Live and Love Crafts along with the white flower spray and the arch lace is from The Ribbon Girl along with the large pink blossom and pink stamen.

I have also cut out the birdcage diecut and added shabby pink frantage, love the effect.  You will also notice the shabby white dotted around the card.

I have also used the Crafty Sentiments Tab die and added Kaisercraft text.

Don't forget all the stamps are being released in store tomorrow but there's lots more inspiration over at Crafty Sentiments Inspiration Blog.

Lily Fairy

Morning Everyone,

Tuesday already and an exciting day for Suzette from Crafty Sentiments.  Suzette was on my very first Design Team, and is excited about the current new release being shown and asked me to be a Guest.  Of course I said Yes.  Today's image is called Lily Fairy.  I have also used a couple of Crafty Sentiments Dies, namely the grass and the tag.  All stamps will be available for sale on Release day which is 22nd August.  Here's what I came up with.

The papers are MayaDesign Sofiero, a beautiful collection available from Live and Love Crafts.

Here's a picture of the tag pulled out of the card.  The text is a Kaiser craft stamp.

Flowers are a mixture from The Ribbon Girl and Live and Love Crafts.  I made the clay frame from a new mould, soon to be released at Crafts and Me.

Don't forget to pop over to see all the DT creations and special guest creations at Crafty Sentiments HERE.

Once Upon A Time

Good Morning Everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend.  Mine seemed to consist of cleaning and more cleaning and eventually some time in my craft room to create today's card.  The theme this week is "Once upon a time".  Now I pondered over this and had all the usual fairytale stories coming to mind, but I also thought that all these stories are very old, way back in time.  When I was flicking through my images I came across this little lady from Grandma's Attic Warm Clothes sheet and she reminded me of a picture taken of me when I was a child and No, I'm not vintage yet, lol, but her fur coat is very similar to one I was wearing by the Christmas Tree..... so.... Once upon a time there was a little girl in her new winter coat............

I have used two papers from the Maya Design Sofiero collection, Princess Margaret and Royal Summer Residence. All edges have been distressed with Walnut stain and dustings of both snow tex and aged rose frantage added here and there.

I have used some of the new cream and pink flower sprays along with roses from the the wild orchid craft collection and some of the new foam flowers, topped off with a pearl pin,  I have also added some of the new Melissa Frances pleated satin ribbon in cream, beautiful and speaking of Melissa Frances the tag has been placed in a Melissa Frances pink vellum envelope and the tag tied with pink seam binding and some tulle.

The metal rose was embossed with aged rose frantage and added to the centre of the vintage ornament.

Warm Wishes and Some Exciting News

Morning Everyone,

I am sooo excited to share with you today my DT card for LLC and also............ OMG I can't believe it........ yes, Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  Thank you Angie for accepting me into your fabulously talented Design Team, I am over the moon happy :)

Where was I, oh yeah.  Well I am sooooo pleased to show you the soon to be released Little Darlings "Snowflake Ballet" that was revealed at CHA recently.  I used my distress ink markers and was soooo pleased with her that I couldn't wait to share, so I teamed her up with all my favourite papers and embellishments from that gorgeous embellishment shop Live and Love Crafts, who are now stock Wild Orchid Craft Flowers, yum, yum, it just gets better.

The theme that the girls are following over at LLC is ..... "our favourite colours".  Well this was hard for me as I have so many, so I have thought long and hard about it and I think if I had to pick just one colour combo it would have to be blue, cream and white, love these colours.  So this is what I came up with.

I have made another wintery card,  and the text "WARM" was stamped out of another soon to be released Little Darlings Stamp Set of Letters.  They are little scrabble letters and I love this type of lettering on my cards.

The papers aren't christmas papers but like I say about the snow tex, that isn't just for Christmas, well papers aren't just for birthdays to me.  Speaking of snow tex, yes it has been out again.  The snow was added by liquid pearls and heated with a heat gun, then I added some snow tex, love the result.

The collage below showing some of my favourite embellies. Melissa Frances resin frame and vintage findings pearl centres added to a poinsetta and not forgetting the little angel.

Before I go Angie sent me some Tsukineko Tack and Peel.  It's fabulous and as I hadn't heard of it before I thought you guys might not have.  It's available from Little Darlings HERE.  It's clear and sticks onto your acrylic block and then you just place your stamps directly onto it.  No more adding pritt stick or tombo glue to the back of your unmounted stamps, and no more being a victim of leaving the lid off and the glue going off and then not being able to stamp.

Tic Tac Toe at BunnyZoe

Hi Everyone,

Well my holiday time is officially over and today I have had to return to work :(

Well it's here again, the second Monday in the month and time for another BunnyZoe challenge and this month were playing Tic Tac Toe.  I have used Elsie with Butterflies by Wild Rose Studio, a little cutie.  All links are below and as usual if I've missed anything please email me.

The shape of the card was made using a Go Kreate die and I have received a request to do a tutorial on how this is achieved.  I have taken some pictures but not sure they are very clear, so I need to look at that.  I have also received a request for how I made a gatefold card using a Marianne Design die, that will also be coming soon.  Sorry but I had to have my holiday.

The image has been coloured with copic markers and the edges distressed with Walnut Stain distress ink.
The oval pearl string and the Emily lace are both from the Ribbon Girl.

Ingredients

Lastly BunnyZoe have a new release of High Hope Stamps and below is a little card I made using SNOW. This is ideal for making those quick cards for Christmas as you will see below.

I have used two of the new release High Hope Stamps, the holly, which I have stamped, coloured and cut out and placed in the two corners opposite each other, and the main image SNOW.  I finished the card off  using the Whimy Snowflake Border Die.  The image and holly were coloured with copics and then I added some star dust stickles to the letters N and W.

Shabby Lace Book

Morning Crafters,

Well I'm back from my little holiday.  We had a lovely time, riding through the woods on our bikes, even a bit of off-roading, thanks to the men, typical. We tried our hand at Archery, which I enjoyed but wasn't very good at,  I just got it right one shot before the end as the Trainer advised that I was holding my hand too low.  My younger sister was a dab hand at the Archery, hitting the bulls eye several times, I think she must of done some training before we came away, lol.

Thank you to all that have visited my blog whilst I was away and leaving me comments, I know it takes time and I really do appreciate each and every one.

The theme today at LLC is the lyrics from "It's a Wonderful World".  I have chosen inspiration from "Trees are GREEN" and "red ROSES too", so I have used green and roses in my lace book as well as the papers.  I'm sure you are all familiar with the new collection by MayaDesign called Sofiero, aren't they beautiful and how can they make this collection a limited one, are they mad.  Anyway it will come as  no surprise to you today that I have used 3 papers from this collection to make my lace book.  I have been dying to make one of these books ever since Elin posted hers, soooo gorgeous and inspirational, thank you Elin.  Hope you like my version....
I found the vintage pages on Pinterest, aren't they fab and if you want to print them too, head on over to my Pinterest where you will find the link.  I printed several and cut the front and back of the book out of mount board and made the pages for the lace out of cardboard so that I could pin the lace in if necessary.

The dress is made out of 3 of the MayaDesign Sofiero papers, links at the bottom of the page.

I used 2 inch book rings so that I could put all those scraps of lace somewhere handy too.

Here's a picture of the book before I added all the little scraps of lace that come in handy to tie on tags.  You will also notice the Melissa Frances resin corner on the right hand side, love these.

Here's a picture of the back of the book and I added the Maya Road sewing kit.  I coloured the scissors and the needle with a silver leaf pen.

And here's a peek at some of my lace collection.

I would like to enter my lace book into the following challenges:-
