April's Diamonds and Roselee

Hi Peeps,

I'm feeling a little under the weather at the moment, I have the shivers, hot and cold and earache and feeling rather sorry for myself.  I had to drag myself into work yesterday and again this morning.  I also have to take my Mum for a hospital appointment this afternoon, so thank goodness for night nurse and day nurse.

My little Bichon has played up the last week too.  He's now 17 months old and when put to bed in the kitchen at night he has decided to start barking.  The first night he did it my son felt sorry for him and thought something outside was frightening him so he ended up on the end of my quilt.  I thought when Hubby came home at 1am in the morning from late shift he would of popped him back into the kitchen, but no, he spent the whole night comfy at the end of my bed.  Needless to say, he continued to bark when put to bed for the next 4 nights and thankfully he went to bed like a good boy last night.  I wish he wasn't so damm cute.

Anyway Peeps onto this week's challenge at Crafts and Me which is Vicky's choice and she has chosen your  favourite colours.  Well I have loads hehehe, love love lilac/purple and pinks and blues and turquoise, oh goodness...., but I could only choose one so have gone with my first choice of Lilacs/Purples.  The new images that the girls have been showcasing on the crafts and me blog have now been released in store, yayy for you guys.

All in Blue

Hi Everyone,

I have been dying for ages to colour up a Saturated Canary image by the fabulous Krista Smith and what a beauty this one is. So I took the opportunity to combine my DT card for Copic Marker Europe and Make It Crafty together.  I remember a long time ago, when I was a Simply Sassy Girl, writing on Krista's blog that I'd love to see more images with long flowing hair, and this little lady certainly fits the bill.  She came in the E-Book from Make It Crafty which the awesome Zoe has put together to show you how to achieve those defined strands of hair, definitely worth Copic enthusiasts investing in and a must have for practicing hair, and to be honest the best advice I can give anyone who is new to copics is, practice, practice and practice.

And here's my finished card.

I also have a new camera, yayyyyyy.  I'm still practicing with that too, so any tips will be greatly welcomed.

Ingredients:-

Annabelle and Tree

Hi Peeps,

I'm back again with yet another creation.  I have used one of the new Wild Rose Studio Stamps, another cutie.  I've also tried a different stitch on my sewing machine and I have a new camera.  Sill getting used to it though, so I hope my photography improves over the coming weeks.  Perhaps I need to enroll in an evening class.

I have added some crystals to the corners.  If you click on the picture it should enlarge.

White on White

Hi Peeps,

Hope your all enjoying the weekend.  It's time at Marianne's Diva's for another challenge and it's an easy one, "Stamp Something".  Remember to use a Marianne Design product somewhere on your creation.

I used to be scared when I saw white on white challenges, but now I just love them, they are just so effective and make fabulous Christmas cards.

I have used one of the Snoesjes Stamps by Marianne Design, Decorating, which I paired up perfectly with the Christmas Tree which I have cut and decoupaged in sections to give some depth.

The image has been coloured with Copics ranging from C9 through to C00.

I have added Star Dust Stickles to the tree and it looks very sparkly under the lights and I now have a new camera, so the quality changes from here on.

I have also used the Marianne Design Poinsetta Die, an all time favourite of mine.

Little Cozy Christmas Bear

Hi Everyone,

Had a lovely weekend and met up with my best bud yesterday for a walk and lunch and then we went round later for a BBQ, beautiful weather and company.

My sister is doing o.k, thank you for all your well wishes and concern.  She still has to have regular visits and medication for at least 6 months.  Her arms are still black and blue though, but a small price to pay to have your life saved.

Well I'm certainly well into getting my Christmas cards done and I have to say that they are my favourite type of card to make.  I have used the cute little Magnolia Bear for our challenge at BunnyZoe, which is distressed.  I have inked all the edges using vintage photo.

Flat Backed Pearls
Tim Holtz on the edge snow flurries
The chipboard stem is from Make It Crafty and painted with acrylic paint and added some picket fence distress paint

I have a relatively clean and simple card for me today using the Flirty Seniors from Make It Crafty, such a fab image.

Coming soon at Crafts and Me

Hi Peeps,

I know my postings have been sparodic of late but I have had a lot going on in the background.  My most recent being my lovely sister being taken ill on holiday last week  She twisted her knee a couple of days before travelling on holiday to Scotland, (10 hours drive for us Southerners in the UK).  Anyway to cut a long story short, she collapsed and was turning blue, so the paramedics were called and thankfully she wasn't too far from the hospital.  Her twist in her knee had travelled to her lung causing a blood clot so massive that it almost covered her entire lung.  She and us are very lucky she is still with us as most people who go unconscious are not able to be resusitated. She spent a couple of days in a High Dependency Unit and thankfully is now home. :)

I have made a card using one of the new soon to be released images from Crafts and Me.  Isn't she a beauty.  I also made some of the flowers using some of the new punches coming to Crafts and Me, once Teresa has had the chance to re-stock.

She is coloured with copics,
Dress: BG78, BG75, BG72, BG000
Pink R85, R83, R81
Hair E47, E49, E35, E50
Skin E00, E01, E000, E11

This card is available for Sale in my Ebay HERE

Have a good weekend.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Avadares - Make it sparkle

Splish Splash

Hi Everyone,

I have a shaker card to share with you today.  I was asked to make a 1st birthday card and know how children love these style of cards, and so do I.

I coloured the baby using E00, E01, E11, E000 but then realised afterwards that Baby skin is usually lighter so I should have adjusted my tones :(

I filled the shaker with clear mico beads, very effective.

The Grandson has been cut out using my Quickutz and then I added glossy accents to give it added dimension.

Ingredients:-

Bath: C5, C3, C1, C00
Bubbles: BG10, BG000
Towel, BG75, BG10, BG000
Skin: E00, E01, E11, E000, R20
Duck: Y15, Y11, Y000

Clear Microbeads
Paper by Magnolia and I'm sorry the Car Paper has been in my stash so long I don't know who it is by

Riding Along on my Bicycle

Hi Everyone,

I've had a little play with distress markers again with another cutie from the Daisy and Don Collection from Marianne Design.

Image has been cut out using circles spellbinders and layered onto the scallloped circle also by spellbinders.
