Campfire Fun

Hi Everyone,

Before I get onto my card today, I have a new blogger to introduce you to.  I have got to know Kath since she purchased some Envelope Boxes from me and I seemed to have persuaded her to start her own blog.  If you can remember back to talking to yourself when you did your first post, it's a strange feeling starting off, so if you have some time to spare can you hop on over and welcome Kath to blogland.

My card today is my BunnyZoe DT card to show you using this Whiff of Joy cheeky chappie and this image is called Campfire Fun and its on SALE at BunnyZoe!  Right now I'd love to be sitting round that fire as I am feeling a little chilly.

Here's a close up.

I had difficulty getting a decent photograph.  I think the top one shows the colouration of the image better but the bottom one shows the shape of the card better.

Ingredients:-

Elisabeth J

Hi again Peeps,

I know I can be compared to the buses today, none for a couple of days and then two come at once, lol.  I would of posted this yesterday but I wasn't happy with the quality of the photos so waited until today.  But I'm sure you'll agree she was worth posting.

This is Elisabeth J from Make It Crafty and the theme at Make It Colourful for this fortnightly challenge is "using your Reds".  I have coloured her using my copics R35, R37, R39, R89 and my black prisma pencil for additional shading.

A little closer......................

Pure as Snow

Hi Peeps,

I would just like to say a warm welcome to my new followers, waving to you.  I would also like to say I have been so busy that I haven't got round to leaving you all some love lately.  I did try to catch up in my lunch hour on my iphone but experienced white screens which some are saying is due to your internet browser but on my phone it's Safari, so not sure if its the same problem?

It's Wednesday, half way through the week and I can honestly say I knackered, don't know why but I haven't been sleeping well lately, too much on my mind I think.  I have some personal stuff going on that I haven't wanted to bore you all with, my Mum's been ill, my Mother in law went into hospital boxing day but she's doing well now and sadly my Brother-in-law being diagnosed with kidney disease to name but a few.

I have to go straight to the gym tonight, I've been so busy I only managed twice last week and I really need to make it 3 times a week, I want to get extra fit as I'm aiming to do the London to Brighton Bike Ride in June, yikes.

Today over at Crafts and Me we have a challenge that I haven't seen very often, actually I'm not sure if I have seen it anywhere at all, anyway, Gina is challenging us to use those "Pins".  I have used our new artist Zindy Nielsen's "First Snow", Wow I love these images and I also decided to her colour black and white.  I used all my grays ranging from C9 through to C00.

I have only used one paper which is an embossed vellum by Papermania, very beautiful and it glitters too.

I hand drew the little trees at the back just like in Zindy's original.

Hope you like it and as always I look forward to your comments.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Something NEW at Marianne Designs

Hiya Peeps,

Where do the weekends go.......... I don't know why, and I'm guessing it's cos I'm a crafter, lol, but there are never enough hours in the day. With working full time and crafting, I really could do with someone else doing my housework and cooking the meals.  Think I may have to wait until I win the lottery though.

Hope you've all had a fab weekend. I looked after my friends dog on Friday night, which was a real treat for Ollie, my 6 month old puppy, but he never let up.  Poor Kira (friend's dog) she probably slept the whole weekend recovering from Ollie's relentless chase me chase me game.  But all that play has taken its toll on my house, with half the garden now in my kitchen, dining and living rooms, yikes! Good job I didn't do the housework before she arrived.

We went for a lovely walk in the woods, well actually a two hour walk and I was soooo surprised by the amount of people out the freezing temperatures, lovely to see.  We even had to queue at the outside cafe for a coffee for 20 mins and even the icecream van had business.  I guess it made up for me not making the gym this weekend.

Today for our monthly challenge over at Marianne's Divas, with the theme of "NEW", I have used one of the New Snoesjes stamps from Marianne Designs January release.  Aren't they cute.  You can purchase this "with present" stamp along with the other newly released images at Bunny Zoe.

Add Grass at Make It Colourful

Hi Peeps,

Yayy its Friday, my favourite day of the week and in particualr today as we are around friends for dinner tonight.

Today we have a new challenge at Make It Colourful which is to add grass.  I also posted my card on the Copic Marker Europe blog and also in case you didn't know, we now have challenges on the Copic Marker Europe blog where you could win 3 copic sketch markers, so definitely worth having a go.

I have these gorgeous papers by Prima and as usual I have matched my paper to my copic marker chart in order to find the colours that match the papers the best.  I have chosen many colours as I stamped this image with the intention of practicing with all these colours, but as I experimented I liked how it turned out so decided to use it for my card.

The image is one of the new fairies from Make it Crafty called Elven Samenah. My only regret is that I didn't make the digi image bigger but I had spent so much time playing with my copics adding the different colours that it was too late to do another image. I have also kept my design simpler to my usual style as the papers were so pretty that I didn't want to cover them up.

I experimented with the wings adding oranges, yellow and greens.

I added in the grass by holding my pens upright and flicking in different directions and using different shades of the greens and the Yellow Greens.

Here's the copics that I used:-

I hope i've inspired you and look forward to reading your comments.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-
Bloggers - Wings and Things
Fairytale - Something New
Craftuscrazy - Options but I have gone for anything new
My Mum's craft shop - Girls
Heartsong inspirations - Border punch or torn paper

First Snow

Hi Peeps,

Hope you all had a blast welcoming in the New Year.  I went to friends and was so tired I fell asleep on the sofa around 2am and they kept waking me up until eventually I insisted I went to bed at 4am.  I left them to it, but guess who was better off the next morning...... hehehe.

I saw the challenge over at Colour Me Creative of Gold, Cream and White and really wanted to give this ago. My Crafts and Me DT stamps have only just arrived, I thought Mr Postie had taken up crafting, so thought I would use this beautiful image by the new designer Zindy Nielsen called "First Snow".  This image would suit Christmas as well as Winter birthdays or any winter ocassional card for that matter.

Lots of texture again from me, snowtex and the Make It crafty lasercut chipboard leaves and a helping of distress crackle paint too.

My favourite Tim Holtz on the edge snowflake die was itching to get another outing, lol.  I added a second layer of gold snowflakes too.

And.... these are my first photo's at night with YES, my craft light that I got for Christmas.  Much better than my usual effort, although you can't beat natural light.

As well as Colour Me Creative I would also like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Simon Says - Something New (image)
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Snowy Day
Everybody Art - Snow
