Put a Spell on you and you'll be mine....

Morning Peeps,

Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine got worse before it got better.  Following on from Friday, my car went to have the bush done but they were unable to get it out so to cut a long story short I had to have a complete Wishbone Arm fitted, along with a couple of hours labour. So around another £200 that I wasn't expecting.  Think this brings my weekly total to around £600.  Now that's a lot of cards I need to sell, lol. I'm now being positive and only good things will happen....Just popped back to edit this scheduled post, my TV has just blown up! So much for my positive thinking!

Today, I'd like to inspire you with the Simply Sassy image "Best Witches" available HERE, what a fab name for this stamp.  I loved Maria's idea of using her for Valentines and so I have done the same and as she's a witch she needed a book of love spells, lol, so I made a little book of spells at the bottom of my card as an embellishment.

What do ya think?  I think she could have lots of books of spells, birthday wishes, good luck, love, halloween to name but a few.

Here's a close up of this funky image.

Here's my little book of spells, lol.  I wrote the word and then went over it using a versamark pen and then added clear embossing powder and heat embossed. Then I added a couple of little loveheart pearls, just so she can tell that this spell book is for "luvvvvvvv".

Another picture with the tag pulled out which says "You and Me".

Materials used:-
Sugar Nellie Best Witches image available HERE
I have coloured her with copics R29, R27, R24, R22, C9, C7, C5, C3, E25, E31, E50, E53
The papers are digi papers from Bearly Mine  available HERE and
"With this ring too" from Nitwits available HERE
Corrugated cardboard, painted with white acrylic paint and edged with Fired Brick distress ink
Martha Stewart Border Punch (heart)
Heart pearls from Bizzy Bec's as well as the heart doily available HERE
Swirl corner coloured with copic marker and clear embossed available from Make It Crafty HERE

Sneek Peek "Lighting the Way" at Crafts and Me

Morning Peeps,

Well it's been another one of those weeks for me.  Firstly Hubby has lost the garage key so we have had to have a locksmith out which has cost £80 today.  Secondly my car failed its MOT so today I had to have a new exhaust fitted and it couldn't just be the front bit, oh no, it needed the flexible bit too that bolts to the engine so £120.  Tomorrow it has to have two bushes fitted for the steering and suspension, so god knows how much but at least I get the parts at a reasonable cost as I am the buyer for them.  Then this morning, I was driving to work and had just got onto the roundabout when a transit van decided he was above the rules of the road and drove straight across the roundabout on the wrong side of the road heading for a head on collision with me!  Luckily I wasn't going too fast and stopped quite quickly and froze whilst I watched the transit try to avoid me.  He luckily missed by millimetres and stopped half way down the side of my car at an angle facing out.  I couldn't even see the driver, just the passenger dressed in camaflague clothing.  He then sorted himself out and sped off on the opposite side of the road again.  I guess the good news is I'm still here, even though my little legs were quivering.

Lastly on Monday of this week we finally had our bathroom finished.  It started last April when the insurance company came in to fix a leak in the roof through the bathroom.  To cut a long story short they repaired the wall and then the next time they came and knocked it down again........... and then repaired it again????? They were all over the shot but finally the bathroom got fitted minus the bath panel and the shower which finally got done on Monday.  My son has gone to have his first shower in the new bathroom and it's leaking through the ceiling.................  Can you just believe my luck, but if you know me, you'll know this is nothing unusual! So although I will be visiting Stamperama to say hi to Teresa I won't have any spending money, so any donations would greatly be received.......lol.

Anyway, I don't know what's in store for me this weekend but it better be good!!!!!!!!

Now, I know Vix introduced you to the new Jasmine Becket-Griffith Crafts and Me stamps, and I know you all gave them the WOW factor.  Well today I would like to introduce you to "Lighting the Way" by Jasmine Becket-Griffith and I am again hoping your gonna think WOW!  I know the DT have fallen in love with these stamps.  Now they will be available to purchase at the forthcoming Stamperama in Stevenage on the 6th February but we don't have a date for online release yet.  Teresa will announce the date sometime after 7th.  So if you want these stamps you need to get to Stamperama and say a big Hi to Teresa.  Here she is:-

Cinderlla on her way to the Ball

Morning Peeps,

Happy Saturday, well I think it will be once I have taken my son reffing, grrrrrr. This is normally the OH's job but he went out on his company Christmas Do last night, it got postponed due to the snow that we had until now,  and  needless to say was just about standing when we got in at midnight last night, honestly girls why do men never know when to stop!!!!!  It's like having 3 children.  Then he keeps me awake snoring like a train, took all my covers, so now I'm tired and will be grumpy.  He best hope that doesn't affect my crafting today otherwise I will have the right hump!

Anyway, enough of my ranting, I need to save some energy for when he does get up, hehehe. TodayI'd like to show you my DT card for Make It Colourful where the challenge this week is to colour in Sepia or black and white. I have chosen the latter and have merged two Make It Crafty images together, available HERE. I have used the Love Carriage and Daphne and I think I must have been thinking on the cinderella front as I have added a little clock charm, which could of done with saying just before midnight, but alas I have had to make do. So I guess you could say she's on her way to the Ball, lol.

I have masked a moon, never done this before so am quite pleased with how it has turned out. Just need to be brave enough to add some movement in the sky.  Next time Peeps.
I have used one of the chipboard laser cut heart swirls available HERE from Make It Crafty at priced at just £3.69.  I can't rave enough about these and if you visit the rest of the design team, you'll hear the same.  You can emboss them, (pop back tomorrow and you will see), paint them, add perfect pearls and colour with your copics, which incidentally I have done on this project.

Aren't these images just fab.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:-

Totally papercrafts - Add a heart
Stampinsantity - Monochromatic
Freshly Brewed - Love or Valentine (think Cinderalla counts as a love story)
FuzzyWuzzy - Anything Goes

Sneak Peek Smelling Flower Melody

Morning Peeps,

I know I say this often, but thank god it's Fridayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, it's been a long week, wrestling with my 15 year who doesn't seem to think he needs to revise for his exams.  He is sooo frustrating as he has a good brain.  He's predicted A, B and C's without having to do anything.  If he stopped chatting and put some effort into revising he could do soooo much better.  If there was a GCSE in X-boxing they would have moved him up to A Level a couple of years back.  Unfortunately I don't think he'll realise we were right until he's in his 20's, but one can try.....grrrrrrrrrrr

Today I have a sneek peak of the new Smell a Flower Melody soon to be released at Crafts and Me HERE.  She is just so pretty.  I love the Melody collection and this new release is just Fabulous and so me, lol.  Again, this is clean and simple Tracy style, lol:-

I have coloured her using copics.

I have entered Melody into the following challenges:-

Aifactory - Anything Goes
Penny's - Anything Goes
Pollycraft - Pastels
The Crafty Pad - Something new (image)

We have some awesome releases coming up from Crafts and Me so watch this space and the rest of the Design Team.  If your visiting Stamperama in Stevenage on 6th February don't forget to visit the Crafts and Me Stand.  You won't be disappointed.

Monochromatic at Crafts and Me

Morning Peeps,

Hope your all having a good week, I am totally drained so tonight is a night in front of the TV, something I haven't done in ages, I'm always working, cleaning or crafting and when I do sit down to watch a film with hubby my laptop isn't far away and before long my fingers are tappinng and I am being tutted at..... but I need to watch Eclipse tonight, been trying to make time since my son bought it.

Anyway enough of me boring you, today is Monochromatic at Crafts and Me. Now this is another Clean and Simple Tracy style card. I'm working on a project, as are most of the DT, and we can't have too many embellishments as the have to be flat. Well as you know this isn't me and I am trying really hard not to put too many, but surely three little flowers can't do much harm, can they?

I have used Flapper Girl Meloday available from Crafts and Me HERE, I think she is just soooo pretty and so easy to colour, she's a crafters dream.  Be sure to check back on my blog on Friday as I have a new release Melody to show you and I am sure your gonna love her too.

The papers are again from Bearly Mine, the back paper is from the new release Damsak and the small panel is from Vol III.  The little heart pearls are also availble from Crafts and Me HERE, I purchased the white ones and coloured them with my copic pen to match my project.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:-

A Recipe at Bearly Mine Designs

Morning Peeps,

It's Tuesday and time for a recipe at Bearly Mine Challenges and the recipe is an easy one, 3 flowers, 2 papers and 1 image.  Now, due to time constraints this card is kinda clean and simple to me, well my sort of version as you know clean and simple isn't my style, lol.

We are being sponsored by a new digi company called The Paper Shelter, they have lots of cute images so hop on over and take a peek.  I have chosen this cute Gothic Girl.  I haven't done her in the traditional red and black as I was wearing some lilac and grey rock stripey socks with rhinestones and the word ROCK on and these gave me inspiration for my lilac and black gothic girl, what do ya think........not not my socks, the card...... lol.  I should of took a pic of my socks.

I have used papers from Bearly Mine Vol III available HERE. She's coloured with copics as usual and popped onto a gorgeous doily. And check out my......my what, don't know what you call them, but those bits on the sides, lol.  My fabby teamie Vix sent me some Black Magic Coredinations card.  You sand it down and the colour comes through, isn't it fabulous.  Thank you Vi, just love it and  think it so suited my Gothic girl, well I thought so any way.

I have entered this card intot he following challenges:-

Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Sneak Peak

Hiya Peeps,

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.  I'm back this morning with my design team inspiration for the Simply Sassy site HERE.  I have a sneak peek of one of the soon to be released Sugar Nellie Simply Sassy Stamps, woo hoooo.  My mojo went walkabouts this weekend, so wasn't terribly pleased when trying to do my card but it returned as soon as match of the day came on.  Bet that's never been said before, lol.  Anyway I was crafting pretty late making a fancy envelope to go with the card, which my Teamie Vicky had produced recently so thought I had best give it a go.  Hope you like it and if you fancy giving it a go the link to the tutorial is HERE. I'll apologise now for the amount of photo's, I got carried away.

I inked all the edges with Aged Mahogony Distress ink.  As you can see it's tied to the side with ribbon.

You can nearly see her........

Almost there, just showing you the envelope opening...........

Yayyyyyy, here she is.  I have merged her with a digi background, Daffodil's Dell availble HERE at Make It Crafty.  Zoe has the most fabulous backgrounds that you can use with all your stamps. I printed out the digi image and using my mag-a-jig from stamping up I worked out where I should position my simply sassy stamp.  I then took my cardstock and stamped my image in position.  I then stamped the image again using staz on onto some masking film and cut her out. I placed the masking film over my image and fed it through the printer.  I peeled off my mask and voila.  I was pleased with the outcome and the bird is almost positioned on top of the daffodil.

I added some birds and some clouds using a scalloped circle and my chalks.  I have also added some flower soft to the taller flowers giving them a bit of texture.

So as not to confuse you, the stamp consists of the simply sassy girl and the little bird, i just wanted to show you that you can create fabulous scenes using your stamps.

And there's the envelope together with the card.

I have used the following copics:-
BV17, 13, 11,00,0000
E11, 00,000, R20
C8, 6,4,2,00
YG67, 63, 03, 20
E25, 49, 53, 59

I have entered my project into the following challenges:-

Meet Poppy

Happy Friday Peeps,

Hope you've all had a good week and looking forward to the weekend.  Not been such a good week in my household, nothing knew I know.  My daughter had her iphone and some cash stolen from her handbag on Monday evening and on Wednesday evening we had the pleasure of someone or more than more visiting our street slashing tyres, which included again my Daughter's.  At least 7-8 cars were attacked and they slashed two tyres preventing people from going to work and children getting to school.  What pleasure do they get out this this.  Honestly!  One of these week's I'll have some real good news, promise.  Let's hope the weekend is better.

Now that I have depressed you, hopefully this picture of one of the new digi releases at Crafts and Me will cheer us all up.  This is Poppy:-

She's just soooo pretty.  Poppy is coloured using copics and shaded with prisma pencils.  Some star dust stickles added to her wings to make her sparkle.

I have entered Poppy into the following challenges:-

Aifactory - Anything Goes
Stampin B's - Use a diecut
The creative cottage - Something new
Top Tip Tuesday - Anything Goes
Cupcake craft - Anything New

DT Inspiriation for Simply Sassy

Hiya Peeps,

Hope everyone had I fab weekend, I've spent most of it in my craft room, a little moan from my hubby, lol.  Today's the day that the DT start posting on the new Simply Sassy DT Inspirational Blog, in case you haven't visited you can find us HERE.  I'm taking the first day in posting, so all support is welcome, lol.

As you know we will be commencing tutorials in February, so if there's anything you would like to see, just leave us a message and we will do our best, providing we can accomodate of course.

We are also seeking some Guest Designers to show off the next two releases, so you will receive 6 stamps each month, all details are on the blog HERE.

Now, my new release stamps are on their way but haven't reached me yet, so in their absence I have inked up my new "Hippie Chick" stamp available from HERE.  Isn't she just gorgeous?

I have coloured this Chick using copics colours:-

BG09, BG07, BG05, BG01 - Dress
RV23, RV21, RV000 - Leg warmers
E18, E11, E00 - Skin
E25, E31, E50, - Hair
R85, R83 - Flowers in her hair

I have also added W3, W1, W0 for shaded areas to tone down the colours for a sort of distressed look and I have also used my prisma pencils for extra shading.

All papers are digi from Bearly Mine Designs using Vol 3 and Vintage and have been distressed using the Making Memories tool but any distressing tool will do or I even resort to my Fiskars Finger Tool, it's just as good, particularly if my making memories tool has got lost under my pile of papers and mess that I work in, lol.  I have added Tim Holtz Distress ink to all the edges of the papers and then added my favourite stickles.

I have used an "in Bloom" embossing folder by craft concepts that I received from Bizzy Becs store and embossed this onto Coredinations Cardstock and then sanded over the embossing to create that worn look, i I love it.

I have used the Whiff of Joy Banner Die and stamped the words "Lots of Love" onto each panel and trimmed so that it has a border.

The flowers and doily have been distressed using the walnut stain as well and a little dash of star dust stickles, my favourite.  Both are from Bizzy Bec's store.

The little love heart pearls are available from Crafts and Me and are very reasonably priced.  The lace and pom poms are from my stash.
