Little Angel & Donna's Candy

Hi Peeps,

Half way through the week and I'm totally shattered. I didn't get much sleep Saturday night and think it has finally caught up with me.  We headed to bed at 1:30am and after I got settled, Ollie started barking.  OH had already started snoring so after half an hour of barking and snoring I went down to settle Ollie.  I think it was the wind and the rain hammering down on the windows that was frightening him.  I returned to bed but he kept barking so at 2:30 enough was enough and I brought him upstairs.  He was still panting like mad and took him another 20-30 mins to settle.  Needless to say it was gone 3am.  If you had told me two years ago I would own a dog and then allow him in my bedroom at night, I would of said you were barmy and not on my nellie, lol.

I have for you today a cute little Angel by CC Designs called Sweet Noelle.   I have stamped her onto kraft cardstock and coloured her in using polychromo pencils. Love the white on kraft.

Ingredients:-
Go Kreate Die to create the base of the card
Tim Holtz Holly Die
Tickled Pink Sentiment
Make It Crafty Wings of love Chipboard embellishments
String Pearls
Snowtex

Before you go have you seen Donna's Candy. Head on over HERE to check it out.

And if your in the UK there's  a brand new Epsom up for grabs!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Tree Top Blessings

Hi Everyone,

Ooops I've forgotten to post my DT card for Crafts and Me, ssshhhhhhh don't tell Teresa.

I have used one of Robin Pushay's beautiful images, Tree Top Blessings. I did something I never do and coloured this image up on kraft cardstock with pencils without matching it to my paper first.  Ummmmm, well it took me an age to pair it up and in the end decided it needed as much white around it as possible to show off the image.

The theme over at Crafts and Me this week is Circles.  So I have berries, pearls, cones, they are all circular in shape.  Hope you can joint us.

Ingredients:-
Image Tree Top Blessings by Robin Pushay
Tim Holtz Holly
Tim Holtz Poinsetta

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

By the cute and girly - Stars or twinkle twinkle little star
Christmas cards all year round - shaped or fancy folds

Hi Peeps,

I have another Christmas card for you today which I shared on the Copic Marker Europe Blog yesterday, I'm certainly making headway with my cards but I really must make more effort between Jan-July to get ahead of the game as I never seem to have enough.

The image I have used is called "Two Turtle Doves" by Whimsey Stamps, coloured with my beloved copics.  Isn't she a little darling.  The gorgeous papers are by Magnolia, links below.

Here's the copics I used:-

Hope you like my card today.

A Little Cutie Snowman

Hi Peeps,

How you all doing?  A little later than planned but here's my DT card for Mariannes Divas.  The theme this months is "male".  Well you know how I hate male cards but look what I did with this little cutie snowman from Marianne Design.....

Well what do you think? It's certainly for a male and I thought a cone or two and some red berries wasn't girly.  I really like the result and when I took it into work I got two orders.  Woo Hoo. These colours for a boy and a pink and white one for a girl.  So I think it passed don't you?

Ingredients:-

Papers by Pion
Go Kreate Die for the base
Spellbinders Circles
Text by Craftwork Cards
Medium pencils

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Hiya Peeps,

It's BunnyZoe's Monthly challenge time and the theme chosen by mwah is Winter and this cute little Pixie Tilda and the Snowy Roof top has been calling me for a while. I paired them up with last years winter door, added some Marianne Design Trees, and check out those little make it crafty candy cones, aren't they just the cutest.

I have coloured with distress inks for a change. And look at Tilda she has pinched one of the candy canes, lol.

I punched some Martha Stewart snowflakes out of accetate and added diamond dust, spacers and pearl brads.  The chipboard candy canes are coloured using prisma pencils.

I have also used the Tim Holz Tree and lots of snowtex.

All Spruced Up

Hi Everyone,

Well it's finally Friday, phew!  Only one more week and Twilight comes out.  Speaking of movies, we went with our son to watch the new James Bond Movie almost two weeks ago and due to road works we was running a little late.  I went to the Kiosk rather than collect our tickets to see how much of the film we had missed.  The chap advised 20 minutes but, he went on to say, "if you haven't collected your tickets, you can go into the next showing in 15 minutes.  You will need to purchase tickets through me here but as you haven't collected your tickets, you won't be charged".  I must admit I was a little concerned, so he went and asked the Manager.  The Manager confirmed that if tickets aren't collected within 30 minutes of the film starting you don't get charged.  Any way we noticed on our bank statement that we had been charged twice and they obviously don't know what they are talking about.  I emailed, but got no reponse.  I rang and left a message and still got no response, so I rang again today.  I told them I wasn't a happy bunny with the whole rigmaroll and advice I had been given.

She found my booking and reimbursed my account.  She was about to hang up when I reiterated my unhappiness and said, "I think you should issue me with some free tickets".  Her first answer was, "I can't do that".  I then explained that my account had unexpectedly been charged twice, the phone calls and emails which had all inconvenienced me through their staff not aware of how their machines work.  She then agreed to send me two free tickets.  So the moral of my long story is, if you don't ask you don't get.  So Twilight for me and my son is on Cineworld!

O.K. another Christmas card from me today and I have used a High Hopes stamp from BunnyZoe.  I like these quirky characters.

Card base was created using the Grand Spellbinders Twenty Three

 All papers are by Magnolia

A little tutorial and Lucy's Broken Dolly

Hi Everyone,

I have a little tutorial for you today on how position your stamps where you want them to be.  I have a stamp-a-magig from Stampin up which I use to align the text within a frame and also when I'm masking to make a scene, the principal is the same.  Zoe from Make It Crafty has a new set of Happy Days text stamps that comes with a little frame and some bonus chipboard, woo hoo.
.
The Stamp-a-magig comes with a clear acrylic, (I think), sheet

First stamp your frame onto your cardstock

align the stamp-a-magig with your acrylic sheet

Stamp your text onto the rough surface of the acrylic sheet with your block aligned to the stamp-a-magig tool

Place your acrylic mat over your frame (that you stamped out earlier)

When your happy with the positioning, align your stamp-a-magig to the corner of your acrylic mat.

Remove the acrylic mat and position your block with your chosen inked text

And Job Done! Easy Peasy.

Here's a card I made this time stamping the frame onto the bonus chipboard before adding my sentiment.

And I have another card to show you today.  This is using rubber stamp Lucy's Broken Dolly.  I'm sure this is a familiar little girl's face to many, lol.

Windy Day

Morning Peeps,

How we all doing? I hope all our loved ones are safe after the awful Hurricane Sandy.  The pictures of the aftermath are truly horrendous.

This week is flying by.  My Mum took us for a lovely Indian meal with Elvis Presley. Sounds a bit strange doesn't it, but it was actually a good night and Elvis was very impressive and also quite a comedian.  Only thing is it was late night and I'm stuck in my childhood when it comes to going out on a school night.  I'll be falling asleep at my desk by lunch time. Zzzzzzzz.

O.K. so I've bored you enough, I'll get onto my card.  It's kinda of apt at the moment with it being windy and seeing all those lovely coloured leaves flying past the window, lol.  The image is one of the adorable Marianne Design images, Daisy Autumn, and if whisk on over to BunnyZoe, you'll see she's on sale at the moment.

Ingredients:-
Papers First Edition
