First Christmas Card of 2011

Hi Peeps,

Hope you all had a fab weekend.  My mojo is still missing so this is the only card I did over the weekend, so now I have a lot of catching up to do during the week, but i don't know about you girls but my craft room looks like a bomb has dropped in it and I really need a good couple of weeks having a good sort out and making it organised and tidy.  Mind you, when I tidy up and then craft I can never find anything and find it totally frustrating.  I am pleased to say that the rest of the house is nothing like my craftroom, thank goodness, lol!

Today's card is for the Simply Sassy Inspiration Blog and I have used the gorgeous "Tammy" , and this is my  first christmas card of 2011, woo hooooo.  I did promise myself that I would be more organised this year and start early so I am really proud of myself.  Although I think Tammy has many uses other than just christmas.

My colour choice has been guided by my papers, which are all digital, and available from Bearly Mine.  These are all from the Winter Swirls set, aren't they gorgeous.

Panels have been machine stitched with zig zag stitching.  I added the little "Let it snow sentiment" to the snow at the bottom of the page.

I cut out the image and snowman so that I could position them on the page.  I have added star dust stickles to the snowman as I do like a sparkly snowman.  I have used paint puff on Tammys bobble on her hat and pom poms on her scarf and heated this with my heat gun to make it puffy.

Lots of texute on this card.  I have cut out snowflakes using spellbinders and a Martha Stewart punch in cardstock and accetate and added Twinkles Diamond Dust to the accetate snowflakes.  Love these.  They look like tiny crystals and really resemble snowfalkes.

I have stamped out the sentiment and then stamped with a versamark pad all over the cardstock and then added transparent embossing powder so the sentiment sparkles tremendously and kind of has a hint of lilac when catching the light, guess that's because its irridescent, lol.  I was going to start this post saying this was a simple card for me but I have used several techniques, but they all add to the overall feel of the card I think.

So put it altogether and this is what you get:-

And below are the copics I used.

Full list of ingredients:-

Image by Sugar Nellie available at Funky Kits HERE
Papers by Bearly Mine available HERE
Spellbinders Snowflakes
Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch
Brads from Hobby House
Candy from Craftwork Cards
Swirl die by Magnolia Doohickey
Lace from Bizzy Becs
Transparent Embossing Powder (stamp addicts)
Seam Binding from the Ribbon Girl

Thanks for stopping by and thank you for all the lovely comments you leave me.  I am especially pleased that so many of you enjoyed my shrink plastic tutorial, this was the first tutorial I had done, so thank you all again, you made my week, and if there's anything in particular you would like to see, just shout and I'll ask someone else to do it,........lmao, only joking, of course it will be me.

Right now I need to get my arse in gear!

Have a good week.

Delightful colours & I love that tree - so tactile & snowed on!. Those brads are gorgeous & I like how they pick up her buttons & the way those snowflakes sparkle. I'm not surprised your room looks like somthing hit it after all those techniques. Your layering of lace seam binding & that swirl with the snowflake & that glorious pearly brad is amazing & I espeially like the way you've balanced it in the opposite corner with the turquoise brad. Love all the little pompoms on her scarf too.
Take care - Mojos just hiding from you but I sympathize wholeheartedly for only you yourself will feel his return.
