Anyone for Coffee

Morning Peeps,

Wow, I got through to Round 2 on the Sugar Nellie Blog Simply Sassy Challenge, woo hoooooooo.  Round 2 is "Do your thing".  Ummmmmm, a hard one for me as I love soooo many different types of techniques, distressing by tearing the edges of the paper, inking the edges, sewing, absolutely love my embellishments and have so many favourite colour combo's I didn't know where to start to show you me, lol.

Anyway, after deliberation I just started off as I usually do with my papers and "this is my thing", well tdoay anyway:-

I thought I would go for distressed and chose my papers and coloured my fab image from Sugar Nellie.  Now to give her the distressed look I coloured with copics RV23, RV21, RV000, as you'll know these are quite bright but with the added "W's to give her the distressed look, she's toned down.

I didn't think the papers lended themselves to being torn for this card or stitched as I thought it would be lost in the patterned papers, so I just edged with Tim Holtz distress inks, victorian velvet and black soot.

I know you have seen my handmade flowers before but I really love how they come out with the pinks/greys.  They are made up of several punches of 3 sizes of retro punch on double sided paper and then pieced together with a brad.  The edges were inked with Black Soot and then I sprayed water on them and scrunched them up.  I then dried them with the heat gun and unravelled the petals.  A little pearl glimmer mist added and a pearl centre and hey presto!  Aren't they just fab.

Materials Used:-
