Swedish Lapland

Morning Everyone,

Gosh it's the 2nd September, can you believe it?  It's usually this time of year when everyone starts to say, "Before you know it Christmas will be here", and it's true and that's why I'm being super organised and getting lots of Christmas Cards done and there's no better time with the new release of Pion's Swedish Lapland papers having arrived in the LLC Store.  So can you guess the theme the girls will be following this week........ hehehe, easy wasn't it, yep "Pion's Christmas release of Swedish Lapland papers".

I have used 2 sheets 12x12 papers and also the cut two tags from the 12x12 tag sheet. and I have also added my new favourite beautiful, beautiful Lace Empress Alexandra, its 90mm wide, but isn't it just gorgeous.

The die cut above the image is from a Marianne Design new release and I have added some weathered wood distress ink.  There are areas of shabby white frantage here and there, this works fabulously on your christmas cards.
The flower arragement on the right is made up of some mini apples, again coloured with my copic marker a deep red, cream flower sprays, love these, red berries and red foam stems, a pine cone (watch this space), and a magnolia little angel, soooo cute.

Here's a close up of the tags cut from the 12x12 tag sheet, and of course they match the papers I've used, edged with walnut stain and popped into a mini bag.  Finished off with a mini bark heart and a mini apple.
This card is available in my Etsy Shop.

A Breezy Day

Morning Peeps,

I have posted today my first card for Copic Maker Europe and if you haven't hopped over you really should, there's tips, tutorials, an awesome design team oozing inspiration, not sure why I'm on it, lol, colour charts and everything you need to know about copics, so hop on over and follow and of course a little support wouldn't go amiss.  I have used a Hanglar image and I apologise for the amount of pictures but I always find Easels and Stair Steps difficult to photograph as you know so there are several so you don't miss any of the little details, and I'm certainly a girl who loves her embellishments.

If you click on the pictures you will get a better view.

I did warn you , more pictures and more embellishments!

Isn't she just adorable. I drew the scattered clouds using my copics.

This is the back. I have made a pocket and popped two tags in so you can write your message and stamp a sentiment if required.

And here's the copics I used.

Ingredients:-
Medium Copics as above picture
Papers by Pion
Go Kreate Die
Magnolia Doohickety Tag, Swirl Heart, Fence Die
Green, Blue and White Acrylic paint
Leaves and butterfly are lasercut chipboard embellishments from Make It Crafty/Quixotic Paperie
Flowers and seam binding from stash
Tickets and Distress ink from Tim Holtz
Mini buttons (on tags on back of card)

I have entered my card into the following challenges:-

Just Magnolia and Stanglar - Buttons, Bows and Blooms
Craftyanns - Summertime
Fashionista Friday - Summer
Phindys Place - Diecuts
Wags n Whiskers - Buttons and Bows
4 Crafty Chicks - Bling
Little Miss Muffett - Summer

Hope I have inspired you today and thank you for any comments that you may leave.

A Sketch at Bearly Mine & a Sneak Peek at My Tidy Craft Room

Morning Peeps,

Tuesday already and time for a sketch this week at Bearly Mine designed by Maria. And I thought as I have now finished tidying my craft room, I'll give you a sneak peek but don't look at the decor. This is the last room on the agenda, so just imagine wooden flooring and nicely painted walls and probably a blind, lol.  Enough waffling and onto my card.

I was meant to have a "Happy Mother's Day" tag popping out the right hand panel but I stuck the panel down forgetting completely about my tag, lol.

Thought I'd just show you a close up of the flowers and fabulous chipboard swirls, link below.

The beautiful papers are one of my favourites at the moment at Bearly Mine Designs, this is the Vintage Lace.  I have also used this on my post on Saturday, so scroll down if you want another peek. I also photographed this card on the Easel so you can see that beautiful lacey edge.

Now onto my foamboard copic storage, which I orginally saw on Donna's (Bearly Mine) blog.

I'm really pleased with it and it's quite sturdy too.

I made this one first but wasn't happy with the edges as I used my craft knife so thought I'd make a slightly bigger one so this one became my acrylic paint, puff paint, liquid pearl storage, plus there's space for more.
Don't know about you but I had a storage box overfilled with different coloured odds and ends that just never got used, so I made a 12x12 foamboard unit and separated the colours and I have to say that for the last 6 cards I have used I have reached for the odds and ends and haven't cut a new 12x12 piece of bazil cardstock.  Aren't I a good girl!

My nice tidy room inspired by Elaine from A Technophobes Blog, thank's Elaine, I do feel much better.

My new copic/distress ink/prisma pencil storage sat nicely on the desk and the 12x12 under the desk to the side.  As it's bits and pieces it's still messy in my book.

The drawers to the right are see through and I don't like looking at what's inside as again it looks messy, so I have slotted paper in with the contents listed on the outside.  The boxes on the shelfs, contains ribbons, cardstock, stamping cardstock, Sizzix Dies and all my Stamps in CD cases.

This is the wall behind me.  I have a unit housing wood back stamps, but not many, paper and 12x12 bazill cardstock.  My printer on top and my sewing machine on hand.

And hubby put up the final piece in my tidy up today, my magnetic boards filled with Marianne, Magnolia and Nesties.  Absolutely love this, and guess what, there's room for more, lol.

And lastly, this is the back of the door.  Housed with a shoe hanger containing all my cricut cartridges.

I have to say it's so lovely crafting in a tidy room, where everything has a place!

Ingredients for my card:-

Vintage Lace papers by Bearly Mine Designs available HERE

First and Last of 2010/2011 and Some News

Hi again Peeps,

Here's my last card that I did in 2010 but didn't get time to post and my first finished card of 2011.  Couldn't wait to ink up this new Hanglar cutie but then again I say that about all my stamps, lol.  I am currently spending time with the family but  saying that they are both belting out Summer of 69 in my ear and all I can say is I didn't have any cats before, but it sounds like I do now, lol.  Do you think if I got up and went to my craft room there'd notice...........

Look at me being so super organised, let's see how long it lasts.  These gorgeous papers are the new to be released tomorrow Love Dreams by Bearly Mine Designs.

This card was kinda hard to fulfil, I was given the recipe from the lad in my office for his girlfriends card which he left to the last minute.  Not so good for me as it was housework night, lol.  He required stitching, christmas tree and the magnolia image chosen, swirls and the snowflakes. He did want layers but with this paper it just would have spoiled it.   I think I achieved it all or thereabouts.
