Card for a Teenager at Crafts and Me

Morning Peeps,

Can't believe two more weeks have passed and it's time for another challenge at Crafts and Me.  I am particularly whacked this week, one night out partying and a week to recover........ must be getting old.

This fortnight's challenge has been chosen by our DT Mummy, the lovely Teresa and is "Something for a Teenager", I was so tempted to do another bookmark, just in love with making those, but I forced myself to make a card using one of my favourite colour combo's.

I have used the Whiff of Joy image "Shopping Willow" available HERE from Crafts and Me.  I stamped her up again on some crate paper cardstock and cut out the shopping bags.

Autumn Colours at Craftalicious

Afternoon Peeps,

I am having a chill-laxing day today.  We travelled to Fulham yesterday for the football match of Everton v Fulham, courtesty of a supplier of mine from work.  It was a good game, well sort of, Everton were all over Fulham but still couldn't manage to rattle the onion bag!  We got home at 7:15 and had to do a quick turnaround for the School Reunion party, but I figured they had waited 29 years so an extra half hour or so wouldn't do any harm, lol.  As it was, it turned out a good night and my boots couldn't do no more dancing after 2am, so we headed home and this morning I felt I deserved a lay in before tackling the housework,  hence my late post, I'm behind with everything.

Today is the first day of the new move of the Craftalicious Challenges to a Sunday, fortnightly.  This week's theme has been set by Jan, the creator of Craftalicious and is "Fall Colours".  Here's my attempt:-

Making Memories Distress Tool
Gold Stickles
Flowers were made using 3 different size retro punches, inked and then wet and scrunched.

Fairy Wonderland

Morning Peeps,

Gosh the weekend's aren't long enough and for some reason I seem to have lost my mojo. This card has taken me two days to finish, yikes!! This is my first attempt at masking a rubbersstamp with a digi image. The digital Fairy House is from Make It Crafty and the current challenge is to "make a scene". There are some fab tutorials on their site so would recommend you popping over. Here's the finished result:-

Posted by Picasa
I used the gorgeous fairy from Lili of the Valley, just love their stamps, with the Fairy House from Make It Crafty and coloured the images using my favourite medium, Copics.  The task of making wasn't without a few teething problems, lol.  I followed the tutorial for Word and first stamped the Lili of the Valley stamp onto my Cryogen cardstock and then measured according to the tutorial. I then printed it out on paper first to check it was all in the right place before putting the cryogen through the printer.  My first problem is that everyone seems to be out of stock of the eclipse masking paper so I had to use a post it note.  Whilst trying to roll my repositional tape on the back of the post it note due to  several places being rather thin, i.e the wand, neck, wings etc. it tended to rip so my mask was in about 4 pieces in the end., but it did hold up. But I wasn't giving up so easily.  My next problem was when I put my cryogen through the printer I forgot to change the size as the cryogen is shorted in length than A4 so my measuring was all out and I had to start again, grrrrrrrrrrrr.  So I can guess, you can see why this card took me two days!

But as you can see I got there in the end.

Because the image was quite large I had to cut it out, again alot of tricky areas but my fiskars finger knife came in very handy, and overall I'm happy with the result.

I have entered this labour of love into the following challenges:-

Make It Crafty - Create a scene
Lili of the Valley - Sketch
ABC Challenge - D for Distressing
Sundays with Crissy - Sparkly and Shiny
Sir Stamp Alot - Distressing

Morning Peeps,

Another Friday and another weekend, yayyyyyyyy.  I don't know about you but I am certainly in need of it. Today over at Craftalicious Dianna has set the theme and wants to see lot's of "Thank You's".  I have used one of the goregous  Crafts and Me Hannah Lynn stamps, The Butterfly Keeper, which is available right HERE from Crafts and Me.  I love the broad lines on these stamps and the fact that they colour up so quickly.

I have coloured her using copic markers. The background was created using antique linen, broken china and victorian velvet distress inks and the blending tool.

I stamped an additional crystal ball and added glossy accents to give it that glossy shiny look and then popped it onto 3D pads for added dimension.

This evening's card is a magnolia stamp, gorgeous isn't she.  The backing papers are from a CD that I purchased from Bearly Mine but just never got round to printing any out, why I don't know, guess I couldn't be asked to take the laptop upstairs to the printer.

I have coloured Tilda using copics and on the umbrella added star dust stickles.  Just noticed that the picture isn't terribly good so may have to do a re-take tomorrow.
