Maja Vintage Baby Gift Set

Hello Everyone,

I'll apologise now for the amount of photo's, you may need to grab yourself a coffee.... actually a flask may be more appropriate, lol.  The theme this week at Live and Love Crafts for the Design Team is Pearls. Sandy has recently stocked the store with some gorgeous pearl strings and I'm sure you'll spot them in my projects.

I have used the Maja Design Vintage baby collection and I have made a baby gift set. It was a little difficult to fit everything in the photo.  Ummmm, but don't worry there's individual pictures to follow.

So now you see why you need a flask of coffee and I might need to re-stock, lol.

Here is the baby bottle card made using the Dutch Doobadoo stencil for the shape.  I have added a tag from the matching die cut sheet.  I cut the image from the "It's a girl" sheet and adhered  it to the diecut circle.  I have added prima resin heart balloons embellishment to the right, just perfect for this celebration card.  I finished the tag with 20mm, 10mm roses, berries and the new beaded berry in pink and finished with a white hemp cord bow.

I added some of my favourite pearl lace with beads.

A little row of the new string pearls.

The beautitful sentiment is from the Dutch Doobadoo A5 paper art Baby.  I love this script and although the paper looks great inked and frantaged it equally looks just as good left naked white.

I added a Dutch Doobadoo greyboard button dusted with white gesso.

Next up is the Milk Carton, which I punched two holes in the top and tied some of the new pink ruffle ribbon to, so this opens as a gift box :)

I tield two different sized Dutch Doobadoo Cardboard dummies and edged with spun sugar so it had a hint of distress ink.

Another greyboard button dusted in gesso.

Here's a close up of the top.

I then made an Oval frame or Nameplate, it could be either.  I used a Dutch Doobadoo MDF Oval and the matching stencil to create the frame.  The beautiful paper is called Cherish, so so cute.  I added the new string pearls all around the edge and finished with a bouquet of flower spray, carnations, berries, 20mm and 10mm roses, rose buds and the new beaded berry in pink.  Finished with a vintage flourish diecut.

Lastly I decorated a little Album.  The box is for the album to go in but could quite easily be a keepsake box, so in my true style I decorated the box too :)

The pearls on the outside are the double row pearls, gorgeous, I definitely need more :)

I added a love paperclip

The fork and spoon were diecut from the matching paper and finished with a greyboard button painted with gesso and tied with cord.

The white leaves are from the new sunflower die set, gorgeous.  Love these leaves.

Here's the inside of the box.

The little washing line is from the Dutch Doobadoo A5 paper art, so so cute.

I left the individual pages free so that pictures can be added.  I really like the idea of using the box as a keepsake box.

Both script text is from the Dutch Doobadoo A5 Paper Art Baby.  The circle frame is the new frame set and comes with a matching flower.  It is totally gorgeous as you can see.

Sandy has some flower beaded string and I thought I best leave something for the team to show you this week so I just cut one off and added to the centre of the chipboard button positioned in the centre of the tag.

A little prima "my heart is taken" heart/key was added to the bottom of the front page.

I hope you like my baby gift set :)

Shabby Priscilla

Good morning everyone,

Monday again and time for some LLC inspiration.  Sandy has tasked us with a theme of "new" and I was lucky to receive my recent package which contained the new MajaDesign papers, yum yum yum so you can guess what I used....

I have also used the new CHA Little Darlings Saturated Canary release "Priscilla".  Isn't she gorgeous.

Angie is currently at CHA  in Booth 2500 launching a brand new Dollhouse Collection of stamps.  There will be lots of inspiration on the Little Darlings Facebook Page, so don't forget to keep checking it out.

So, back to my card.  Remember on Facebook I showed you the ladybird die and I cut it onto corrugated card, love love this.....

I used the Dutch Doobadoo Flower with 4 petals stencil to make the base of the card, due back into stock at the end of this week.

I added ladybirds using corrugated card around the edges of the card, sooooo love these.

I cut two tags out of the papers and added sentiments by Little Darlings Rubber Stamps Vintage Affections, tied with vax cord and I have added a little love heart hanger, sweet.

I have added a prima rose as the main flower and decorated with a two tone rose and rose bud and I then cut a rolled rose die cut from the matching paper to add a matching rose to teh mix.

You can also see a close up of the new oh so gorgeous lace and OMG I need more!

Around the image I used the edge of a stamp from the Stempleglede Postcard set for the paris postmark.  You can also see a clay heart amongst the flowers and just a peek of the ruffle rose trim.  This trim is a perfect colour to match this release of papers.

I cut a fence out of the matching paper too and you can also see the Stempleglede stamp a little clearer too.

You will also notice shabby white frantage and flakes added to the image.

I have also added shabby pink frantage and flragments to the Dutch Doobadoo paper art ribbon bow and added an oval gem button to the centre.

A close up of the ladybirds and also the gorgeous MajaDesign papers with a little gesso added to the edges.

And here's a close up of the CHA Saturated Canary release Priscilla.  Can you see the frantage and flakes.  I managed to get her in the eye again, lol.

The leaves were cut from two dies, see links below.
