Star Dust at Live and Love Crafts

Hi Everyone,

Can you believe its the 1st December?  I can as I've started my christmas shopping and not enjoying it at all. Today's card is my DT card for Live and Love Crafts with the challenge theme of "Star Dust".  So I am sure there will be lots of interpretation from my teamies.

I'm not entirely happy with this card.  Its a commissioned card for a boy and you know they aren't my best cards.

For my interpretation of star dust I have die cut some accetate snowflakes and added diamond dust and finished with a vintage brads. I have also added star dust to the bottoms of the ice skates on the right, arent these adorable.

Papers are from Maya Design Vintage Frost Basics called December 9th.

The falling snow was created using liquid applique, snow tex and again diamond dust to the bottom of the LOTV image.

I have added gesso to the cones, mini apples and blue and red frosted berries.

A close up of the ice skates and you can see the diamond dust added to the bottoms.

To my mind this card is absolutely amazing!

I really love this effect of the Dust. I ordered with my friend Nadja on friday - and today we asked Sandy to add two pots of it ;)

I didn't even realize until now that there aren't any flowers on this card. Cards without flowers usually look a bit empty, but not this one; there's plenty of other stuff. The mix of red and blue frosted berries with the cones looks great, and the diamond dust on the ice skates is another fab detail.
