On The Night Before Christmas

Morning Everyone,

Brrrr were meant to be getting some of the white stuff this week, wish it would hold off until Christmas.  I hate driving in it and won't mind it snowing whilst I'm tucked up nice and cosy in my house :)

The theme this week for the LLC girls to follow is "PionDesign's Sweet Baby". I thought you had seen enough of my baby creations lately so I have made a card for a baby but it's a First Christmas card.  You know I like to be different so I have used the soft pink papers with a very colourful Santa on his reindeer.  I wasn't sure at first but now I really like the contrast of the two colours.

The paper is PionDesign Pink Forget Me Not.  I have stitched the edges and distressed with snow tex. I so get lots of questions about how to apply this and there is a tutorial on my blog showing you the gesso, distress crackle paint and the snow tex and the differences, and all are available in the LLC store.

I have used the Marianne Design window again, I can really visualise so many uses and so far it's getting them, lol.

I don't know about you but I have really missed the tulle and am delighted that Sandy has been able to re-source and of course I couldn't wait to put it use and it matched perfectly don't you think.

The words "Happy First Christmas" are computer generated and then stuck onto the wooden banner and finished off with one of the Vintage brads, love these.

The flower display is made up of several types of flowers and both types of cones; 20mm two tone roses, foam flowers, frosted berries, OMG I love these, beaded red berries, 10mm roses, large rose bud, white flower spray.

On the right I have used one of the wooden cages and coated with Picket Fence crackle paint.  I added a Maya Road pearl embellishment at the top.  I also die cut the little bird using a Noor Design birdcage and bird die cut from cryogen cardstock and coloured the bird using my copics to create a little robin red breast. He then had a coating of snow tex.

I used liquid applique for the snow balls and then a frosting of snow tex.

Oops, almost forgot, I have also used a bark star on the right hand corner, topped with a red berry and lastly a metal white corner.

Thank you for all the wonderful comments you leave me, I am always blown away and you always make my day :)

Hugs Tracy x

Fantastic composition; looks like Santa was made for that window or the window made for this Santa???! The bouquet is stunning, but I also love how you decorated the window sill.
Glad to see the tulle making a re-entrance! Sandy xx
