Adele

Hi Peeps,

Gaw'd do I need more hours in the evening, well either that or I need a win on the lottery so I don't have to go to work.

Isn't the weather in the UK lovely at the moment, it's a shame I spent it at the NEC, lol.  How could I possibly mean that......... well actually I was a little disappointed this time round, what did you think of it?

On Sunday I went round to my lovely Teamie Jane's house to practice some colouring with Prisma's. Jane is a true artist and has such a selection of pencils and papers, and a pink craft studio, so much choice, it was like being in a sweetie shop. We only got time to colour the face of an image, dreadful really seeing as I was there was four and a half hours, we was chatting crafty stuff and the time just flew, you know how it is.  I spent a little more time on my project last night and finished her up tonight, she's not on a card but thought you might like to see how my practising is coming along....

The image is called Adele from Make it Crafty and the current challenge at Make It Colourful is movement and I thought this image is ideal as there's lot's of movement in these glorious waves.

The image was printed onto Murano pastel cardstock so a first for me, but I love the results.  The real problem I had was trying to match the skin tones on the body to the face as at Jane's I used polychromo's but at home I only have Prismas, well for the moment anyway, going round Jane's I came home with a list of must haves, lol. The polychromo's maintained their sharpened point and you could get better defintion than I could with the prisma's.  The lines were thicker as you lose the point straight away, but I'm getting there.  As with copics, practice, practice, practice.

Awesome, Tracy, VERY awesome! I used to colour with Prismacolor before I found Copics, too, but it never looked as artistic as your version of Adele. Did you whipe over with something oily or is it kind of a "pencil-effect"? Anyway, it looks lovely, I love this image.
I just applied for the Make it Crafty Shop-Dt with a card using Anastasia, she is very sweet, too.
Big Hugs

This is stunning Tracy, I wouldn't know where to begin so for a newbie so to speak this is amazing. I can't wait to see your progression with this medium. I'm in awe!!!
So nice to have a friend to visit with the same passion, sounds like you two had a ball.

Hello there, wow, you have done an amazing job - not sure how much I helped!! But I know for sure I yabbered too much 'cause I ended up with a croaky voice LOL

You'll have to come over again & I promise to be a bit more organised so we get to colour more!!!

In some ways its good that you have tried both Prismas and Polys on the same piece - you have seen first hand how differently they behave.

Hope you had fun and as I said you can come over anytime.

Hugs
Jane
