New Dies and Some Candy

Hello Everyone,

I'm running a little late with a stream of people at my door this morning interrupting my crafting day, lol.

I love the new Ice Crystal Circle die and as it has just arrived in thought it would be rude not to take it out of a packet and play.  I had the idea of this simple card for me in my mind when the Crealies dies arrived in, as equally I wanted to play :)

I had difficulty getting a good photograph as the sun is beaming in my little craft room so I have photographed onto some blue card behind too.

The paper is from the Shabby Christmas pad, yum yum.

The base was made using the new in stock Crealies 1 die.  Amazing capabilities as you can use two Crealies for a different affect or cut another one and layer onto each other to create an accordian card.  Endless possibilities.

I have added diamond dust to the new snowflake for a little sparkle.

Now we have also reached another 10,000 visitors to the blog making 50,000 visitors.  Woo Hoo, so time for a little candy.

If you would like to win the Tea Box candy below, hop over to the Noor!Design UK Blog to leave a comment..  The tea box compliments the Afternoon Tea range but could easily be used as a chocolate box on your Christmas cards.

Have a good week.

Dutch Doobadoo Baroque

Good morning,

Just a quickie from me as I have to run.  I'm shopping with my friend for a dress to wear to my niece's wedding in Las Vegas :)

I have used the new Dutch Doobadoo Baroque Stencil.  Now this has so many uses, to hold your coloured images in, to put your pencils in or do several, one for each colour of flowers in your crafty stash, lol. I have chosen to make a gift for christmas as I know I will be needing a few.  Now..... I did have some sweets to wrap in cellophane and pop in here with a tag, but someone..... naming noone, my son, haha.  Well I didn't actually name him, did I, lol, has ate them.  So here it is minus the sweets.

Ruby Wedding Anniversary Card

Good morning crafters,

Firstly thank you to all those who have already sponsored me for the London Bridges Walk for Kidney research.  The walk was yesterday and the rain held off, which was great, but it was actually quite a bit longer than the original 7 miles, in fact almost 10 miles.  But we all made it and hopefully together we will make a differenct to Kidney Research.  If you haven't donated there's still time.  Here's the link

I can't believe we are already in July, where is this year going.  Today I'm sharing a commissioned Anniversary card.  I have used the Dutch Doobadoo Tag template for the shape. The papers are from Pion Designs Wedding collection, I love all the creams and beige papers, just perfect for weddings and anniversary and vintage in general.  All links at the bottom of the post.

I used a tag from the Images sheet from the same collection to position on the inside of the card.

I started with  a cream Magnolia and added 20mm, 10mm  roses, white berries and red berries and a touch of gesso just to tone them down a bit. Tied with a seam binding bow and finished with a clay heart in the centre of the bow.

The little flourish leaves are from the Oval die set, so elegant.

The larger feather style leaves are from a Vintage Flourish die, links at the bottom.

I used the heart with butterffly die but cut it out with the centre heart in place to make it an aperture and pop the picture of the couple inside.

I added the BEAUTY embellishment to the corner.

Of course I used the gorgeous Pion Design matching butterflies and positioned inside the Butterfly border diecut and added flat backed pearl string to the centres.

You can also see the pearl pin sticking up from the floral display.

I added a resin oval frame and again used the Pion Design paper for the "40". edged with walnut ink distrress ink.
