Elisabeth J

Hi again Peeps,

I know I can be compared to the buses today, none for a couple of days and then two come at once, lol.  I would of posted this yesterday but I wasn't happy with the quality of the photos so waited until today.  But I'm sure you'll agree she was worth posting.

This is Elisabeth J from Make It Crafty and the theme at Make It Colourful for this fortnightly challenge is "using your Reds".  I have coloured her using my copics R35, R37, R39, R89 and my black prisma pencil for additional shading.

A little closer......................
And a close up of the Make it crafty chipboard needle and spool embellisments.

I embossed the needle with silver embossing powder and I painted the spool with black acrylic paint to match my project.

Add Grass at Make It Colourful

Hi Peeps,

Yayy its Friday, my favourite day of the week and in particualr today as we are around friends for dinner tonight.

Today we have a new challenge at Make It Colourful which is to add grass.  I also posted my card on the Copic Marker Europe blog and also in case you didn't know, we now have challenges on the Copic Marker Europe blog where you could win 3 copic sketch markers, so definitely worth having a go.

I have these gorgeous papers by Prima and as usual I have matched my paper to my copic marker chart in order to find the colours that match the papers the best.  I have chosen many colours as I stamped this image with the intention of practicing with all these colours, but as I experimented I liked how it turned out so decided to use it for my card.

The image is one of the new fairies from Make it Crafty called Elven Samenah. My only regret is that I didn't make the digi image bigger but I had spent so much time playing with my copics adding the different colours that it was too late to do another image. I have also kept my design simpler to my usual style as the papers were so pretty that I didn't want to cover them up.

I experimented with the wings adding oranges, yellow and greens.

I added in the grass by holding my pens upright and flicking in different directions and using different shades of the greens and the Yellow Greens.

Here's the copics that I used:-

I hope i've inspired you and look forward to reading your comments.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-
Bloggers - Wings and Things
Fairytale - Something New
Craftuscrazy - Options but I have gone for anything new
My Mum's craft shop - Girls
Heartsong inspirations - Border punch or torn paper

Re-colour an image at Make It Colourful

Hi Peeps,

Just a reminder that over at Make It Colourful the challenge is to recolour an image that you did earlier in the year.  There's still plenty of time to enter, another two weeks, and as its a colouring challenge you can just enter your coloured image rather than a whole card, how easy is that.

So o.k., here's the card I made earlier in the year............................

And here's my image re-coloured... ummmmm not alot different except I now draw clouds in and tried to make a transluscent balloon so you can still see some cloud behind it, something I wouldn't have done before.

Ingredients:-
Tilda with balloon by Magnolia
Medium - Copics
Lace and butterfly charm from stash
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Flowers by wild orchid crafts
Martha Stewart branch punch (available from Bunny Zoe on request)

I would like to wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year and thank you for all the comments that you have left me in 2011, I appreciate each and everyone.

I will be celebrating my 2 year anniversary in January and will have some lovely candy up for grabs, well hopefully two lots, so keep your eyes peeled.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-
CES - Party
Hiding in my craftroom - Freestyle
Secret Crafter - Anything Goes
Totally Gorjuss - Happy
Wee Memories - Anything Goes
Card Crafters Circle - Anything Goes

White at Make It Colourful

Oh my goodness I've just realised I hadn't posted my DT card for Make It Colourful on my blog.  I was organised and loaded it into the Make It Crafty gallery but have forgotten my own blog.  The theme is to colour white and you have until Thursday evening to get your challenge card entered..... you still have time...

I have used elements from the Festive collection at Make It Crafty and combined with this gorgeous Tilda.

Light Source From a Lantern

Hi Peeps,

Well I did have my card ready last week but because of the grim winter weather I couldn't get a decent photo so I waited until the weekend, but was so busy that I didn't get round to posting it.  This is my DT card for Make It Colourful with the theme of "light source from a lantern" .  I have used Magnolia images which I actually purchased last year and never got round to inking, think were all guilty of this,  and complimented the card with snowflake chipboard pieces and a swirly corner, both available from Make It Crafty. I embossed them with silver embossing powder and they really come out looking very metallic.

I used my favourite Poinsetta Die from Marianne Designs and cut it out using some flock paper and it embossed lovely, so it has a lovely soft texture.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

My Time to Craft - Two of something (two stamps)
Oldie but a goodie - Let it snow
Shopping our stash - Use a stamp you haven't inked before
Pile it on just- Traditional Christmas
Just Magnolia - Black, grey, red & white (I have used all these colours in my colouring)
Stamptacular - Punch it

Colour Texture at Make It Colourful

Hi Peeps,

It's Friday and although it is the start of the weekend I am looking after a supplier from overseas, so the start to my weekend is a little delayed and will probably commence after I drop them back at their hotel sometime late tonight, grrrrrr.

Today at Make It Colourful the challenge is to create texture using your colouring medium.  I have again selected some of the new Winter Objects from Make It Crafty, I so love these elements to create gorgeous scenes for all those winter and Christmas cards.  I Used two of the tree's and the bench and paired up with my mini magnolia.

The picture isn't brilliant as it was late last night and my craft light did it's best, but it just ain't good enough.  I promise I will re-take but as I am entertaining an overseas's supplier I'm sad to say it may be Saturday morning before I get the opportunity. (REVISED - new picture below)

Ingredients:-

Winter Objects by Make It Crafty
Mini Magnolia Tilda
Magnolia Snowflake (forgot I had this)

Martha stewart Branch Punch from Bunny Zoe
Large Snowflake from Asda
Embossed glittered Vellum Paper
Tim Holtz Distress Ink (walnut stain)

Reminder Make it Colourful Bi-weekly Challenge & Candy

Hiya Peeps,

Just wanted to remind you all that Make it Colourful has gone bi-weekly so you still have until next Thursday to enter your project into the challenge for "sheer clothing".  I had difficulty choosing an image and finally settled on a Tilda coupled with the new RED RUBBER Daffodil Dell from Make it Crafty.  Yes, I am collecting the Make It Crafty rubber cos as you know I am at heart a rubber girl, lol.

I hand drew where I thought her underskirt would be.  I chose slightly lighter colours than the outer dress and then created my sheer skirt going over the top with my choice of copic BG's.  I am not entirely happy with this project and I need to practice.

I have added my favourite Make it Crafty chippies and gave them a generous coat of green acrylic paint.  I have also added those gorgeous Marianne D Creatables English Rose LR0162 and equally gorgeous Magnolia Butterfly Die.

Also don't forget you still have time to do the Christmas Make it crafty Blog Hop where all the DT have Candy up for grabs, it starts HERE

Make It Colourful

Hiya Peeps,

As you may already know Zoe from Make It Crafty has set off the trend of colouring without black lines, so either stamping with a very feint ink pad or if using a digi stamp, changing the capacity to a max of 20% or less if you dare.  So can you guess what this week's challenge is at Make It Colourful...... Yep, NO BLACK LINES, yikes.  The effect that I have seen in blogland has been stunning so below is my first attempt and I will be practicing some more as I love the overall effect of this technique.

I stamped and masked off my Tilda before stamping the Whimsical Mushroom using a Memento Summer Sky ink pad.

I have used my Greys C3, C1 and W3 to make the shadows darker.

I did use rather alot of Copic Markers:-

Ingredients:-

Perfect Colouring Copic Marker Card
Tilda with Tulips by Magnolia
Whimsical Mushroom by Make it Crafty
Grunge Collection by Stempleglede
Prima "Madeline" Paper Pad

Batwings and Boots

Hiya Peeps,

If this has posted then I'm still in Turkey, enjoying the sun and most importantly a very well earned break, but wanted to let you know that  today's challenge at Make It Colourful is "PINK".  I have paired up the Metallic Flowers from Make It Crafty with one of the new Crafts and Me Designers.  The image is called "Batwings and Boots".

My card is on the clean and simple side, mainly because it is going into the Book that will be on show at the Crafts and Me Stand at Stamperama on Sunday 14th August.  If you'll be there pop along and say hi.

The cogs are Lasecut chipboard pieces from Make It Crafty and I have covered two in black acrylic paint and one using silver embossing powder.  I really love my chippies.

Hope your all having a fab week and I will be back next week, so will look forward to reading all your comments.

Genevieve an a New Challenge Blog

Morning Peeps,

Oh I went to see Harry Potter last night with my son, and wow has 3D come on since I last saw it in my plastic pink and blue glasses, lol.  Technology hey, now I'm feeling my age.

It's time for another challenge at Make It Colourful and I have teamed my MIC background image, well two actually, I used the Moon and Bats from the Eerie scene and paired it with the Crooked Fence and added the beautiful Hannah Lynn Genevieve from Crafts and Me.  The challenge theme is to colour with with colours other than the usual, browns, blondes, blacks etc.  So out come the purples.....

The sewing machine popped out again to stitch the panels.  The swirly corners are those fabulous Lasercut Chipboard embellishements from Make It Crafty and also available here in the UK from Quixotic Paperie.

Here's a pic of the Eerie Scene and Crooked Fence available from Make It Crafty.  I masked the moon and then used my airbrush to create the background using the Cool Greys and Lilac's.

Before I go I wanted to put the word out that my teamie Amy is starting a new challenge blog where you can show off your Marianne Designs Dies, woo hoo.  Click on the picture below to take you there.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-
