Esme

Morning,

I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine, isn't it hot hot hot here in the UK, almost makes me want to go to work to be in the air conditioning, lol.  My card for you today is completely the opposite of hot as the DT have been lucky enough to have been given some digi's from Crafts and Me to play with and I have taken the opportunity of getting ahead and made a Christmas Card using the image  Esme, and I certainly wouldn't mind a few snowflakes at the moment to cool me down.  Speaking of snowflakes, I used the Whimsy snowflake die to create the edges on this card and distressed with walnut stain distress ink.

I printed the image and embossed several  times using the ultra thick embossing powder.  I then bent it in several directions to create the cracking to give it that extra vintage look.  I stamped the Fronz text onto accetae using timber staz-on ink so that I could place it over the image.  A little shabby white frantage was added to the image and it worked well on top of the ultra thick embossing, so something else you could try with your frantage.

I have used Maja Design's Spirit and Inkido Forever Santa Christmas Music papers.

I added a Vintage Findings Pearl Centre to the poinsetta.

For the smaller poinsetta I have used the cream stamen for the centre. I also added some corrugated card and added some shabby white frantage and some fragments, you can just about see them in this picture.

As usual please click on the photo thumbnails at the bottom to the taken to the products.

Whispers of Love

Morning Crafters,

I have combined two of my DT's, namely Live and Love Crafts, the beautiful vintage store and Crafts and Me with one of the new release Digital Vintage Images.  The theme we are following over at LLC is Summer and the challenge at Crafts and Me is "Something Old".  So you can see the image and the vintage embellishments were perfect for both teams and with my mojo lacking, helped me tackled two birds with one stone, so to speak.

I didn't quite have enough blue embellishments so I used my copic airbrush system and added a touch of blue to the Hortensias and one of the little seashells.  The image is called Whispers of Love and is available HERE and was just perfect for a Summer card and with the little girl holding a shell to her ear, the ideal opportunity to add some shell embellishments too.

I have used the Pion Design Vintage Garden Ornament in Blue.  I added a grey crotchet flower and added the cream leaf from the Prima fabric flower Chantelle Doily set along with some of those dainty Hortensia's, flower spray and a Kort and Godt Rolled Rose in Blue.

The little ensemble to the right consists of the seashells, Hortensia, the new Roman Numerals with some aged Aqua frantage,  one of my favourite colours, an Idea-ology corked Vial bottle, which I will add a little sentiment in later and I cut out the flower ticket from the Vintage Garden 6x6.  Just above this collection is a Pion Design Butterfly and a metal rose, also frantaged in Aged Aqua in the centre.  The doily just under this section has also some aged aqua scattered, looks fab in real life.

And here we have some of Sandy's internationally famous vintage seam binding, finsihed off with a clay heart and 2mm string pearls and attached to a Magnolia So Wrapped Lovely Tag.  Lots of Gesso and a sprinkling or two of snow tex, here and there hehehe.

The beautiful pearl lace at the bottom has been layered onto some Ribbon Picot and don't they look like they were made for each other.

Thank you for visiting and I'm sorry I was so late, dam Cameras!  Be sure to check back tomorrow, I know Tina will have a fabulous Vintage creation that I just know I will be drooling over.

Ivy and A Tale of a Rose

Morning Crafters,

It's challenge time for the rubber girls over at crafts and me and the theme has been set by Teresa as "Peaches and Cream".

I have used another new release image by Janna Prosvirino called "Ivy" and its a male image, something you don't see very often from me.

I also have a second card made using another of the new release stamps by Janna called "Tale of a Rose". Coloured with my beloved copic markers. I love the lilac and green together so enjoyed putting this together.

I have added some shabby green frantage to the 6mm white pearls and also around the frame. The image has been coloured in copics, my favourite markers.

The magnolia doohickey also had a coating of frantage.

The Tulle and white Lily Flowers are from TheRibbonGirl.  The beautiful lace that frames the card and the lace at the bottom of the card are both from Live and Love Crafts.

The Frame around the sentiment was made using the Airdry Clay. It's currently out of stock at Crafts and Me but is on its way back in. The gorgeous tassel is a new release from Marianne Designs available at BunnyZoe, just click on the thumbnail links at the end of the post.

Ribbons and Lace at Crafts and Me

Hi Peeps,

It's the weekend and all the housework is done, just the grouting of the kitchen tiles to be done, not so good, but two days off work, yayyyy.

I'm running late with my post as my laptop went on a go-slow.  I have used one of the new release images at Crafts and Me by Zindy Nielsen called "Ssh".

Isn't she beautiful.  The DT have done a fabulous job creating so many variations with the same image, so please pop over to take a peek HERE.

Have a good weekend.

Portrait of Ophelia

Morning Peeps,

Yayyyy, it's Friday. Always love Fridays, well especially at 4pm when I finish work.  Apart from the housework my weekend is my own and I hope to get some creating done.

My card for you today is using the beautiful new Jasmine Beckitt-Griffiths stamp called "Portrait of Ophelia" available at Crafts and Me and coloured with my the BG group of Copic markers, love these colours.

The pink pleated ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl, from a recent win, lucky me.

The cheesecloth and white mesh are available from LLC, oh my god the embellies here are my utmost favourite.

My second card was coloured with distress inks and not one of my best I have to say.

Again the cream pleated ribbon was from the Ribbon Girl as well as the lace at the bottom of the card.
The chipboard flourishes are from Make It Crafty and coloured with walnut stain distress ink. Gorgeous papers are by Pion silent night 6 x 6 collection.

Thanks for looking today.  I wish you all a fabulous weekend.

Anything Goes at Crafts and Me

Hi Peeps,

Busy week this week, parent's evening last night and tonight I'm chauffering to a football match..... hurry up and pass your driving test son, although have you seen the price of car insurance for young lads today, OMG, quotes in the region of £5,000.  Cheapest is about £3,000 for third party on the lowest insurance group possible.  Seriously, this is just encouraging youngsters not to bother getting any.  Ark at me, now I feel old sound like my mother, lol.

My card today is my DT card for Crafts and Me and the challenge this fortnight is "Anything Goes".  Real easy.  I have used Hampton Art's Kitty in Basket available HERE.

And can you see my little heart, it's one of the Marianne Design Dies and I must admit when I first saw the die it wasn't for me but I really, really like it now, and I'll be using again real soon....

Ingredients:-
Image Kitty in Basket by Hampton Arts
Marianne Design Rose
Marianne Design Linen Rope
Flat backed pearls
Magnolia Doohickey

Coming soon at Crafts and Me

Hi Peeps,

I know my postings have been sparodic of late but I have had a lot going on in the background.  My most recent being my lovely sister being taken ill on holiday last week  She twisted her knee a couple of days before travelling on holiday to Scotland, (10 hours drive for us Southerners in the UK).  Anyway to cut a long story short, she collapsed and was turning blue, so the paramedics were called and thankfully she wasn't too far from the hospital.  Her twist in her knee had travelled to her lung causing a blood clot so massive that it almost covered her entire lung.  She and us are very lucky she is still with us as most people who go unconscious are not able to be resusitated. She spent a couple of days in a High Dependency Unit and thankfully is now home. :)

I have made a card using one of the new soon to be released images from Crafts and Me.  Isn't she a beauty.  I also made some of the flowers using some of the new punches coming to Crafts and Me, once Teresa has had the chance to re-stock.

She is coloured with copics,
Dress: BG78, BG75, BG72, BG000
Pink R85, R83, R81
Hair E47, E49, E35, E50
Skin E00, E01, E000, E11

This card is available for Sale in my Ebay HERE

Have a good weekend.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Red Riding Hood

Hi Everyone,

I've still been a bit poorly with little sleep or inspiration.  I didn't venture into yesterday today and thought I'd be able to catch up on my sleep.  When I leave for work in the morning at 07:30 I usually pop Ollie the pup in my daughters bedroom and he usually falls back to sleep on top of the bed, so I thought this morning I would get up and bring him into my bedroom. Wrong! As soon as I brought him upstairs the door bell rang, driver collecting a parcel which set him off.  I returned with coffee and at 08:00 doorbell goes again, parcel for daughter.  You'd think I was the only one living at my house, daughter still in bed and son just about to leave and i'm the only one who can open the door!  Just settled again when Ollie found some socks on the floor and scarpered under my bed.  I managed to retrieve them and hide them under hubby's side of the bed.  He seemed to settle and I finally got under my covers set to get at least another 30 minutes sleep, right.......nope. He had sneakily pulled back the covers on OH's side and found the hidden socks and was munching again.  I decided this wasn't going to work and came downstairs, let him out in the garden for him to do his bicon buzz. Then I thought a shower might make me feel better but someone, daughter grrrrrrrr, had switched the hot water onto off instead of timed, it really wasn't my day...............

Rant over.  I have a new card for you which I did for the Copic Marker Europe blog and also my DT card for the Crafts and Me Challenge which is bright colours and I figured "Red" was bright, right. Have you seen the new artist at Crafts and Me????? Her name is Zindy Nielsen and she has the most amazing life images.  I have used Red Riding Hood and coloured the image in black and white with only her hood in red.  I'm loving this colour combination at the moment.

I would normally match my papers to my copic chart to pick out the colours I am going to use but as I have used mainly black cardstock and white papers, it didn't matter which colour markers I chose to work with, but I was looking for a strong red, so went for R35, R37, R39, R89 and C7 for the darker shaded areas.

I have used most of the Cool Greys. I coloured her dress using C3, C1, C00

The tress in the background have also been coloured with the same combination.

I have used C1, C00 on her face with only a touch of C3 for the shading areas.  I didn't want her face to look dirty. For the trees in the foreground I have used C5, C3, C1, COO and for her hair I have used C7, C5, C3.  By using different combinations of the greys I have tried to make the image contrast rather than appearing flat by using one combinatiion everywhere.  Hopefully you can see this.

Pure as Snow

Hi Peeps,

I would just like to say a warm welcome to my new followers, waving to you.  I would also like to say I have been so busy that I haven't got round to leaving you all some love lately.  I did try to catch up in my lunch hour on my iphone but experienced white screens which some are saying is due to your internet browser but on my phone it's Safari, so not sure if its the same problem?

It's Wednesday, half way through the week and I can honestly say I knackered, don't know why but I haven't been sleeping well lately, too much on my mind I think.  I have some personal stuff going on that I haven't wanted to bore you all with, my Mum's been ill, my Mother in law went into hospital boxing day but she's doing well now and sadly my Brother-in-law being diagnosed with kidney disease to name but a few.

I have to go straight to the gym tonight, I've been so busy I only managed twice last week and I really need to make it 3 times a week, I want to get extra fit as I'm aiming to do the London to Brighton Bike Ride in June, yikes.

Today over at Crafts and Me we have a challenge that I haven't seen very often, actually I'm not sure if I have seen it anywhere at all, anyway, Gina is challenging us to use those "Pins".  I have used our new artist Zindy Nielsen's "First Snow", Wow I love these images and I also decided to her colour black and white.  I used all my grays ranging from C9 through to C00.

I have only used one paper which is an embossed vellum by Papermania, very beautiful and it glitters too.

I hand drew the little trees at the back just like in Zindy's original.

Hope you like it and as always I look forward to your comments.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

cupcake craftroom - anything goes
Freshly brewed - something new (stamp and red flowers)
Deep ocean challenge - Sparkling/Glitter (glitter embossed vellum)
My time to craft - favourite embellishment (flowers)
