Little Indian

Hello Everyone,

Can't believe it's Monday again, but we did have glorious weather this weekend. which is always a bonus.  Me and Hubby went out on our bikes yesterday and accomplished 9 miles quite easily with two large hill climbs, so I think my fitness is paying off.  My jogging in the mornings is getting there, I'm still not sure I was meant to be a jogger but will have a better idea as I enter a new week which starts with interval training or 8 minutes of running, then walking to a straight run of 20 minutes by the end of this week, so we shall see.

My card today is for Live and Love Crafts and the little lady is a digi from Wee Stamps, they are sooooo cute.

I have added frantage and walnut stain distress ink to the edges of the image.

The gorgeous papers are one of my favourite sheets by Maya Design called Vintage Autumn Basics, XXII.

The leaf die is from Noor Design by Joycraft and I dabbed some snow tex on them to give them texture, and you know this is one if my favourties for adding texture.

A few more Noor Design dies on this card:-

The cute butterflies, border die across the centre bottom and then adorned with a flower arrangement of flower spray, magnolia beads and a Kort and Godt Chrysanthemum.

The filagree oval that the image is placed on.

On the edge butterfly border die, around the edges of the card

Rowan Fairy

Hi Everyone,

I have a gorgeous image to share with you today by Sylvia Vet of Whimsy Stamps, she is called Rowan Fairy and is so so beautiful.  I love Sylvia's images. She is due into stock on Monday at BunnyZoe, so if you want to ensure you get one, pop on over here to pre-order.  She sold out as quick as she came in last time so this is a re-stocks that Nikki is expecting in, so if you want to ensure you get to colour her up for Christmas, pre-order is the way to go.

The papers are by MME called Vintage Christmas 6x6.  The star banner is a die by Whiff of Joy called
Stars Festoon.

Flatback pearls have been added to the centres of the snowflakes.

The green gingham ribbon is wired and will do what it's told, lol.  The large red flower is a Ruffle Rose and the text is  Christmas Sentiments by Kaisercraft.

It isn't showing up well in the photo but her wings have a coating of Diamond Stickles

The lampost is a magnolia doohickey die called Paris Night Dies.

In the pink

Hi Everyone,

I'm a bit late posting my DT challenge card today, I have simply run out of hours in the day, so as I'm not cooking this evening, I'm writing this post before I venture out,, best get my skates on.

I'ts challenge time again at Live and Love Crafts, gosh I can't believe we are already in October, scarey how quick this year has flown past.  Anyway, as this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Sandy has chosen the challenge theme of  PINK.  When your done here, please hop over to see my teamie's beautiful creations, they never cease to impress, seriously........

Oh and during this week the gorgeous Sandy is preparing some fabulous PINK CANDY, and I know you won't want to miss that, so hop over and become a follower so you don't miss out on all the fabulous inspiration from the DT and of course the awesome pink candy.

So, I have gone for pink in the papers and white embellies.  The papers are one of my favourites by MayaDesign, 1922, just beautiful, I have used both sides.

I have added a Melissa Frances Resin Butterfly, just to the left of the image, love, love these and one of my favourtie joycraft dies, the butterfly edge die.  I have attached a magnolia doohickey heart tag into the envelope pocket and finished with some lace and a clay heart.

The image has been framed with a Marianne Designs Large Petra's Oval, very elegant. Gorgeous lace and pompom trim and finished with Kort and Godt Roses and my new Joycraft leave die.

Don't forget to pop over to LLC to see my teamies creations and hopefully enter this month's challenge.

Gardener Gayle

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had an enjoyable weekend.  I had a lovely day out with my friend yesterday followed by a lovely home cooked roast dinner, yum, yum, it always tastes better when someone else cooks it doesn't it.  Diet starts today, yep I keep saying that, but it really must, going to be a long haul.

My card today is using Saturated Canary image Gardener Gayle available from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps, and with the theme for the DT to follow over at LLC this week of Wild Orchid Crafts, I thought she would be perfect.  I have coloured her up with distress inks.

I have used two papers by MayaDesign, Vintage Summer Basics, 1923, and Shall We Have Coffee, Flowers on the table.  I cut out the little seed packet from the PionDesign Vintage Garden Flax 6x6 sheet, love those little packets, and I added a key charm.  (This is the door key as Gayle was planting in the front garden and didn't want to let the dog out so had to close the door behind her, hehehe).

I have used a variety of Wild Orchid Craft flowers, all links below, and added a gorgeous resin bird cage by Melissa Frances, just love these resin pieces.  The gorgeous lace is again the Empress Alexandra, and you know by now that this is my favourite lace at the moment, I say that as Sandy is always getting in gorgeous laces that it's so difficult not to like them, especially as I luvvvvv my laces.

I have added Shabby White frantage around the image and some rose fragments and Aged Rose on the butterflies.  The 6mm pearls were also treated to some shabby white frantage before adding to the centre of the butterflies.

Be sure to pop by tomorrow for Tina's gorgeous creation.

This card is available for sale in my Etsy Shop.

Shabby Lace Book

Morning Crafters,

Well I'm back from my little holiday.  We had a lovely time, riding through the woods on our bikes, even a bit of off-roading, thanks to the men, typical. We tried our hand at Archery, which I enjoyed but wasn't very good at,  I just got it right one shot before the end as the Trainer advised that I was holding my hand too low.  My younger sister was a dab hand at the Archery, hitting the bulls eye several times, I think she must of done some training before we came away, lol.

Thank you to all that have visited my blog whilst I was away and leaving me comments, I know it takes time and I really do appreciate each and every one.

The theme today at LLC is the lyrics from "It's a Wonderful World".  I have chosen inspiration from "Trees are GREEN" and "red ROSES too", so I have used green and roses in my lace book as well as the papers.  I'm sure you are all familiar with the new collection by MayaDesign called Sofiero, aren't they beautiful and how can they make this collection a limited one, are they mad.  Anyway it will come as  no surprise to you today that I have used 3 papers from this collection to make my lace book.  I have been dying to make one of these books ever since Elin posted hers, soooo gorgeous and inspirational, thank you Elin.  Hope you like my version....
I found the vintage pages on Pinterest, aren't they fab and if you want to print them too, head on over to my Pinterest where you will find the link.  I printed several and cut the front and back of the book out of mount board and made the pages for the lace out of cardboard so that I could pin the lace in if necessary.

The dress is made out of 3 of the MayaDesign Sofiero papers, links at the bottom of the page.

I used 2 inch book rings so that I could put all those scraps of lace somewhere handy too.

Here's a picture of the book before I added all the little scraps of lace that come in handy to tie on tags.  You will also notice the Melissa Frances resin corner on the right hand side, love these.

Here's a picture of the back of the book and I added the Maya Road sewing kit.  I coloured the scissors and the needle with a silver leaf pen.

And here's a peek at some of my lace collection.

I would like to enter my lace book into the following challenges:-
Bastel-Traum - Shabby Chic/Vintage
Card and Scrap - Anything Goes
TokboBok - Vintage
Crafty Calendar - Anything Goes

Hot and Cold Colours at LLC

Morning Crafters,

Yes I'm still away and as you can see from this week's postings I spent most of  last Sunday preparing and linking up posts, lol, I chose the wrong week to go away.

My card today is a DT card for Live and Love Crafts and also a guest card for CCDesigns and yes you've guessed it, another Drozy Darlings image.  This one is called Lily Fairy, isn't she adorable.  I have coloured her with distress inks and made the lilies into bluebells.  The challenge this month  at LLC is warm or cold colours and as you can see from my challenge card I've used both. Hope you can pop over and join in the fun.

I have used a little Melissa Francess Pink Vellum envelope and stamped it with a Marianne Design All Around the World Postage Stamp from the set, I have dotted a couple more around the image. I have tied some pink tulle, lace and beads and also the vintage fairy charm, which I probably added a little too much gesso too.

Again I have added a few dies and you probably know by now the name of one of them, ummmm could it be Marianne Designs Vintage Ornaments 2, lol, well I did say it had become one of my favourites and I have also used Marianne Designs Vintage Ornaments 3 and added a small collection of flowers to the centre.

I also added one of the Melissa Frances Resin Corners, very vintage, I adore these Resin ornaments

Anyone for a Picnic

Good Morning Crafters,

Two more days of work and then I'm off for two whole weeks, yayyyyyy.  Seems to be taking an age to get here.

Today's card is a guest card.  I was approached by CCDesigns to guest and as you will see I said yes, and have made a few cards using one of the characters called Drozy.  This little lady and the picnic basket are from the newly released picnic set containing 3 images and the picnic basket, links below.

I stamped Drozy and then masked her to add the basket to create the scene.  I have coloured with my beloved copic markers.  The papers are from the new MayaDesign Sofiero Limited Edition collection from LLC, they are beautiful.

I hand drew the basket behind her wings so that I could make it look like her wings were see through. All edges have been distressed with walnut stain distress ink.
