I Love You

Good morning Everyone,

Can't believe it's Monday again.  Well my mojo hasn't been too good, I'm still trying to shift this cough which unfortunately got the better of me last week and almost choked me to death on Saturday when it just wouldn't let up to let me breath.  I had coughed so much I had pain in my chest, which seriously worried me.  I think, touch wood, that I am starting to get on the mend and am returning to work today.

The theme this week is "seasonal choice" and I was thinking that in many countries they have snow and as we were approaching Valentine's Day that I would do a lovey dovey card, although personally I think you should tell your hubby/partner every day you love them and not just on Valentines Day and also to receive flowers throughout the year and not just on Valentine's Day when they quadruple in price. Little rant over, lol.

The image is by Lili of the Valley and coloured with distress inks and I have added some shabby white frantage.

The papers are from Maya Design Vintage Autumn Basics No. I and are like all Maya papers, beautiful. The edges are distressed and walnut stain ink added.

I have used the tulle, beautiful Moulin Rouge lace which compliments the papers and I thought the Lace Amour was also very appropriate for this card.

Lots of flowers, wild rose, 20mm rose, 10mm rose, kortandgodt chrysanthemum and rose buds, vintage pearl pin and a mini bark heart and of course a little of my favourite gesso.

I have used the prima resin floral heart, isn't it gorgeous and on the left is the matching corner piece.

The tag was cut from the MayaDesign Vintage Basics Heritage Diecut sheet and seambinding, string pearl and an "I Love You Postcard" charm added.

  1. Morning Tracy; sorry to hear about your cold but seriously; this is what a card from you looks like when your mojo isn't quite with you??? Beautifulyl coloured and embellished; love the resin heart and the tulle trim brings such a shabby chic factor, and then there's the pink lace... I saw it already on Tina's card yesterday that it's perfect for the VAB/VFB sheets! Stunning work again - thank you.

  2. Gorgeous card! The way you colored the stamp it looks like they could walk off the card and keep on going through the snow. I love all the details of this card. Beautiful!
