Cute as a button

Good Morning,

Sandy has set the theme this week for the LLC girls as "Cute as a button" so yes I know it's another Christmas Card from me, lol, but don't you think the image is as cute as a button? Of course she is, she's adorable and from the Pion Design Grandma's Attic Christmas Time.  This card is another card that I did for the classes in Oslo recently.

The papers are also Pion Design, Christmas in Norway collection, I'm loving the traditional red and green colours.

I have used the Dutch Doobadoo Flowers with 4 Petals stencil to make the base and layer and then the Dutch Doobadoo Window Stencil to make the window.

I added snow tex and structure paste for the snow texture in each of the window panels.

I added Dutch Doobadoo Softwood bricks to the panels and added structure paste for the snow effect. The paper snowflakes on the window panels on the left and right are so intricate and gorgeous and from the Dutch Doobadoo Paper Art Snowflakes, links at the bottom of the post.

I added tulle and pearls to the bottom of the window.

I added holly leaves to both flower arrangements and finished the top right arrangement off with two 12mm bells tied with white hemp cord.

From this angle you can see the dimension.

The Merry Christmas tag was created using the Joycraft die and stamp set

I added my favourite large Ice Crystal Circle to the top right.

Winter & Some Sad News

Hi Everyone,

It's been a little while since my last post and for those of you who follow me on facebook you will know that last Thursday I lost my gorgeous little furbaby, Ollie.  He was only 4 and it all happened so quick.  I have been totally devastated and the house just isn't the same.  Whilst I was looking for the photos of my card I came across these pictures of Ollie over his 4 years, so I've been looking, laughing and yes....crying.  This little doggie has left such a big hole in my heart, I miss him so much. He was the most friendliest and handsome I have ever come across.

R.I.P my little one.

Now onto today's card and hopefully the tears will stop  This card is one that I made for the Oslo card class. I have used papers from Pion Design's Christmas in Norway collection, aren't they just gorgeous.

The image has been coloured using Distress Inks.
