Sweet Cherubs

Morning Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend, it went far too quick as usual.  We had friends over for dinner on Friday and then went for a long walk with Ollie Saturday morning to burn some calories, ready for dinner at my Sisters Saturday evening, oh it tastes so much better when someone else cooks it for you, doesn't it.  Hubby and me are off to see Jack Dee tomorrow night, really looking forward to it.

My card today is my DT card for LLC and the theme the girls will be following is "pink".  I've used subtle elements of pink, in the design paper, tag and those beautiful two tone roses.  The gorgeous Angels are from the Inkido, all links below as usual.

I used the back of the 12x12 Tag sheet from PionDesign Winter in Swedish Lapland ,and added a section of A Romantic Picnic in the park to the centre. The two tags were cut out of 12x12 tag sheet.  I added a Tim Holtz Hinge Clip to one of the tags.

My favourite lace again, Empress Alexandra, so very beautiful.

A close up of the tags.  I added two pink wild orchid craft roses, a small pine cone and some snow tex.

All edges were distressed with Tim Holtz Walnut stain using the blending tool.

The minature trees are cut from Marianne Design Horizon Pine Trees LR0283 collated together and stickles added for a little sparkle, cute.

Canary Love

Morning Everyone,

I'm back in my craft room now, thankfully but I do seem to have the cleaning bug and decided to clear out my walk in wardrobe, which I can now walk into, lol.

I need to make a new curtain for the front door to keep all the draughts out for the winter and decided to give it a go and actually use my sewing machine for sewing something other than cards, lol.  I'll let you know how I get on.  Google could be my friend here.

Today's card is using another Saturated Canary image called "Canary Love",  I really love this little lady.

The papers are by Magnolia 12x12 Blue Ink Roses. The heart die is from the latest Marianne Design release, collectable Love COL1334 which comes with two stamps, definition of HOME and LOVE and I chose to use the love one on my project today.

The gorgeous crotcheted doily is from Gail, so love this Gail, I really need to find a source or learn to crotchet.  Thank you sweetie.

The ribbon is from BunnyZoe and is wired so you can shape it to your liking.  Must say I do like the wired ribbon, lots.

Butterfly Baby

Morning Everyone,

We went to a family Christening yesterday so I needed to make a card so I chose to use one of the latest edition Little Darling Rubber Stamps Saturated Canary Beautiful Baby, isn't she gorgeous and so was little baby Lillie.  The theme this week that we will be following at LLC is "The Great Whites".  So as you can see I have used lots of white embellishments which was perfect for baby Lillie's  Christening card.

I took the photo's with a white background but didn't feel that this justified the card, so I took some with a black background too, would love to know which you liked.

I have used the MayaDesign Limited Edition Sofiero "Strolling Down Rose Path" as it was a very soft pink and I coloured the image in with distress markers.

The whites was made easy with the floral collections that LLC now carry, wild orchid crafts rose buds, large rose bud,  medium gardenia, Lily, 10cm open roses and the gorgeous white flower spray and foam flowers.  I also added some shabby white frantage to the larger butterflies and white gesso to the flowers, circle frame, clay heart and around the card.

I have also added a Magnolia white angel amongst the flowers and some of the latest Lace Amelie with some Melissa Frances shabby white frill in the centre.

I have used a Melissa Frances Resin Chiswick Frame and coated it in some white gesso. The little black and white butterfly was cut out from the PionDesign Vintage Wedding sheet.

Here's a picture using the Melissa Frances 6 inch Flower Hanger.

I also took a couple of pictures against a black background so the whites would stand out as the card looks much better irl.

There is a tag at the top of the card using the Magnolia Doohickey Wrapped So lovely die and this popped into a mini white paper bag.

Breeze and Petals and Lace

Hi Everyone,

Are we all ready for the weekend, I certainly am, didn't help that I woke up yesterday and thought it was already Friday, lol.  We had the carpet fitted this week in my Son's room, stairs and landing, so lots of cleaning and hoovering and putting rooms back together and big sort outs and I mean big. My son has been hoarding all this shoes from each year he's been through school I think, lol.  Too lazy to have a clear out I think!  OH has to make a trip to the tip tomorrow and I'm not sure it will all fit in the car, lol. At least I will be able to get back into my craft room tomorrow, it's been a little neglected and been the general dumping ground through this process.

So excited to share today's card with you.  I've used the gorgeous Saturated Canary image called BREEZE, and.....the new 6x6 Petals and Lace papers and they are gorgeous, so pretty.  I love pink/grey and lilac/grey and this pack has both combinations, yayyyyy.  I have also used the new Warm Fuzzies Sentiments "USE YOUR WORDS". They look like little scrabble letters, but are so handy to have in your stash, I spelled out "HI" on the right hand side.

Both trims are by Melissa Frances, love the shabby look and compliments the papers beautifully.

I have coloured Breeze with Tim Holtz Distress Markers and his new watercolour paper.  The floral display is made up of flowers from TheRibbonGirl and LiveandLoveCrafts.

Have a good weekend.

Road Tripping Santa

Morning Everyone,

I have a fun card for you today using Road Tripping Santa by High Hopes Stamps, isn't he jolly, lol.  I have used papers from the LDRS 6 x 6 Frigid Fun pack, perfect for cards.  Love that the print is small and can be easily seen and look how well the Marianne Design XMAS die came out using one of the sheets from the pack.  Normally you wouldn't be able to see the polka dots,  really like how it turned out.

I have used the Whimsy Snowflake border die, just love this die and all the swirls.  I have added some spacers to some of the centres of the snowflakes.

I added a prima clock paperclip and added some shabby white frantage.

The Winter Days calendar is from the Warm Fuzzies Frigid Fun Stamp Set.

Just to give you an idea of what copics I used to match the paper they were  B91, B93, B95 and added some grey tones, C3, C1 to the shading.

I have used two of the newly released Marianne Design Dies, namely Collectables XMAS and Horizon Pine Trees.  I cut the pine trees out and added diamond dust to the hill, just to differentiate a little from the little white pine trees.

I finished off with some berries and cut the holly leaves out of the CCDesigns Holly leave die.

A Sad Farewell

I'm back again and with a special but sad post.  Over at LLC the DT are saying goodbye, sob sob, to our Louise.  I still can't believe Louise is leaving us as I know just how excited she was to be on this very special team.  Although she has her reasons, which are also sad to hear, we are all extremely upset to see her go, but I am hoping it's not goodbye to crafting, just Hasta Luego (until later).

We have lots of laughs behind the scenes and Louise is going to be dearly missed for her character as well as her gorgeous cards.  On the plus side she will be spending more valuable time with her beautiful children and family, and that is something you won't be able to get back and I'm sure all of us Mum's understand that crafting can be put on hold, you can return to it when the children are older and out clubbing, so enjoy your time sweet Louise and above all have fun, fun, fun.

Sooooooooooo, this is the card that is on its way to Louise.  Firstly I had to use a Magnolia image, as if you know Louise you know she loves her maggies and secondly, I had to incorporate pink, our Louise is definitely a pink, pink and pink girl.  I hope Louise will like it and if you read my earlier post this morning you will know that I took these pictures under the influence of several bacardi's, I'm so glad I didn't make the card under the influence, lol, so Louise I promise it will be better in real life and it isn't really lobsided, lol.

I made the corners using the new Marianne Design Petra's Corners

The HUGS text is from the Warm Fuzzies sentiment set "USE YOUR WORDS" just released at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.

A not so good close up of the flowers and can you just see the tiny organza flowers.
