Flowers at Crafts and Me

Hiya Peeps,

If your looking for the Make It Colourful Blog Hop, please scroll down one post.

It's challenge time at Crafts and Me and it was my turn to choose and as usual I like to make it easy and I have chosen my favourite theme of FLOWERS.  As well as my challenge card I have a little cloud tutorial for you.  So grab a coffee and sit back and relax......

 Ingredients:-
Image by Hannah Lynn "Gardening Girl Dawn" from Crafts and Me
Papers & Lace by Websters
Lasercut Chipboard Fourish, Dragonflies and Filagree Centre by Make It Crafty
Magnolia Doohickey Grass Die
Doily and Flowers from stash

Now onto the tutorial...........

Firstly what I will say is that if you look at the clouds in the sky, they change everyday and are so random that you can't get this wrong as there is no right way or wrong way of doing it.  If you don't feel confident then stamp your image but don't colour it and practice drawing the clouds. I'm not the best at tutorials so if you want to see how this is done in Youtube hop on over to the fabulous Annika Ryan from Another Messy Crafter, who demo's this brilliantly.

You will need B91, B000, C1, C00 and your colourless blender and of course your image.  I have chosen "Gardening Girl Dawn" by Hannah Lynn from Crafts and Me.

First I draw random outlines of the clouds using B91.  Remember to make sure you have very small lines towards the bottom to make them look like they are far away bring depth to your scene.

Then I added the B000

Then I added some C1.  Think of this as your shadows.

Then I go in with the C00 and blend

Then I use the colourless blender pen to blend all the colours together, which tones down the colours and gives you subtle clouds.

These are the colours I have used to colour the image:-

I hope you will experiment, you can add some B00 to make your clouds bluer or add some oranges, reds and yellows and create a sunset.

Whatever you decide, have fun and hope to see you over at the Crafts and Me Challenge Blog with lots of flowers.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-
Aud Sentiments - Happy Birthday
Crafty Purple Frog - Lots of layers

Now it wouldn't be a birthday without a birthday card, right.  So here's the card that's on the way to Zoe, but will be a tad late, sorry hun.

Autumal Tilda

Hiya Peeps,

Sorry if you think I've been MIA this past week, unusual for me I know, but I'm still working behind the scenes and thought I'd popon and add my Autum Tilda. I've used Autumn colours and the fab paper pad by My Minds Eye "Vanity Fair" is the ideal papers for all those Autumn projects.

I have used Karate Tilda and instead of positioning her on one foot, I thought I would have her on two feet, so this one stamp can be used two ways.......

I cut the butterfly out of the Vanity Fair paper and added some flat backed pearls to the body of the butterfly. I have used another one of those gorgeous Prima Delightful Day Aurora Flowers in the middle flower at the top of the card.

Ingredients:-
Karate Tilda available HERE from Bunny Zoe
Magnolia Doohickey Grass Die available HERE from Bunny Zoe

Add a Heart at Crafts and Me

Hiya Peeps,

Well I can't believe it's Wednesday and more importantly I can't believe I am feeling so whacked.  I had Monday off and had a major sort out in my kitchen and couldn't believe how much out of date tins, spices, etc. etc. I had in my cupboards.  They are all now clean and tidy, well bar one as I ran out of time, so will get that done this weekend along with tackling my wardrobe.  I seem to have the spring clean fever in September, lol.
It's challenge day at Crafts and Me and this week the theme is "Add a heart" and this week's sponsor is Crafts4U with this fab prize.

Now at first glance you'll think I forgot the theme lol, but if you look at the swirly chipboard corners you will see a little gold heart in each, which also happens to be available from Crafts and Me. Sorry about the picture, it was late last night, so I will re-take when I get home today.

The image is the gorgeous "Birthday Girl" from Crafts and Me. I have used the Prima Madeline pad, just love these papers, the swirly corners and flourish are lasercut chipboard pieces from Make it Crafty.  I embossed them using the two tone Moonglow embossing powder so it changes colour in the light.  Fabulous stuff.

I'll be back tomorrow with the news of the new Marianne's Diva challenge.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-

Remembrance

Hiya Peeps,

It's Friday and I couldn't be more glad.  Little Ollie had me up yesterday at 6:30am and it's my daughter's turn to get up with him this weekend, so I am looking forward to a lay in or at least not getting out of bed at 6:30 am. He looks like butter wouldn't melt, but when he's having his mad half hour nicking a sheet of newspaper and running off and diving under the sofa which is only 2 inches off the ground and biting everything in sight, suddenly his cuteness doesn't count for anything, well o.k. I can't be mad with him for long, could you.?????

Today I have used the gorgeous "Remembrance" by Sweet Pea Stamps available from Crafts and Me, I loved her from the minute I saw her. I have coloured her using my prisma's utilising all the warm grey tones. She's definitely a favourite of mine.

I have embossed the gorgeous flourish corners from Make It Crafty with Two tone Moonglow Embossing Powder.  It'g gorgeous in real life and when tilted in the light glows from gold to aqua blue.

Ingredients:-
Remembrance by Sweet Pea Stamps available from Crafts and Me
Papers are by Prima called "Madeline"
Lasercut Chipboard Flourishes by Make It Crafty
Two tone Moonglow Embossing Powder (think the stamp man does it)

Preview Day 2 Tickled Pink Lil Christmas Lolita Ivy

Me again Peeps,

Another gorgeous Tickled Pink Stamp preview for you and today it's time to meet  Lil Christmas Lolita Ivy.......

I do love this style of stamp and just a perfect match for my Websters papers.

Sorry it's a bit brief but it's difficult trying to write this post with a puppy biting my toes. Where are the kids that are meant to be looking after him.  Although before I go I must tell you, everyone has told me to put an item of clothing in Ollie's bed so he has your smell with him to comfort him when he's alone.  I usually pop something that is in the washing pile in.  Well without thinking I grabbed OH's work top and didn't think anything of it.  As you know Ollie is white.  He nuzzled into the top and when he emerged he had  black all around his nose and on his paws.  I totally didn't account for OH's top being covered in some oily muck, lol.  I should of took a picture.  Anyhow's if anyone has any tips for a naughty puppy who bits my toes and fingers and doesn't take no for an answer any advise would be greatfully received.

Ingredients:-
Image Lil Christmas Lolita Ivy available from Tickled Pink and for all you lucky girls in the UK Bunny Zoe from Tuesday 13th September

Acrylic Paint Green and White
Irredescent Embossing Powder on Sentiment

Which Direction

Hiya Peeps,

Hope you all had a fab weekend.  We went to my best mates for a BBQ on Saturday night to celebrate her return from Spain.  I did miss her so I am especially pleased that's she's back, yayyyy.  Mind you it's her fault I now have a puppy, who is taking up too much of my crafting time, but he is gorgeous, well when he's not biting my fingers or my toes that is.....

Anyway, my card today is my first DT card for Bunny Zoe, so I hope you like it. I have chosen to colour on kraft using my prisma pencils.  I stamped out the image also onto some map paper and cut out just the map section, so he looks like he's really holding a map.

I have also coloured the wooden flowers with my prismas, they really hold the colour.

Make It Colourful

Hiya Peeps,

As you may already know Zoe from Make It Crafty has set off the trend of colouring without black lines, so either stamping with a very feint ink pad or if using a digi stamp, changing the capacity to a max of 20% or less if you dare.  So can you guess what this week's challenge is at Make It Colourful...... Yep, NO BLACK LINES, yikes.  The effect that I have seen in blogland has been stunning so below is my first attempt and I will be practicing some more as I love the overall effect of this technique.

I stamped and masked off my Tilda before stamping the Whimsical Mushroom using a Memento Summer Sky ink pad.

I have used my Greys C3, C1 and W3 to make the shadows darker.

I did use rather alot of Copic Markers:-

Ingredients:-

Perfect Colouring Copic Marker Card
Tilda with Tulips by Magnolia
Whimsical Mushroom by Make it Crafty
Grunge Collection by Stempleglede
Prima "Madeline" Paper Pad
Mini Dragonfly Lasercut Chipboard by Make It Crafty
